Yeah that's not going through the range of motion. Can you spin the flanges and get it to slip in? Maybe try in 2 & 4wd?

You are right about where I am on the harness. Are you running any emissions? Good luck!
Not me. I went straight to the top and got a Howell ECU and harness!!
Read and heard too many horror stories about engine managent wiring issues from crappy harnesses.
That's me, though.

I'll bet the labor is not that much more (if any) involved to build new vs. rework an old one. I'm sure they have a jig or motor to build them on.
But if this guy can make it work, I'm sure neither of you guys will have any issues![]()
