WOW!

I made a fuse box bracket. I decided to continue some more custom touches and painted the gauge face inside the cluster, and the climate control/stereo surround face. The sheen on these green areas is flat-eggshell. I had to cut the plastic-welded tabs off the clear plastic window to remove everything for paint, then I used epoxy to reattach it.

I made these vents. I am planning to start making and selling them also. They will have different vent opening options. There is a little welding required to make them. The lower front needs a corner put on but otherwise it's basic. Everything on my 80 has round holes so that is why the vents also do.

These pictures show the step plates I added to the rear bumper and sliders and they are made from 3/16" steel. I added rivet nuts to the bumper and sliders, then using SS bolts and 1/8" spacers to hold them off the surface. I ordered the rear bumper for an 80 with flares, so it was short and didn't reach the wheel opening. I had to make something to fill in that area and this is what I came up with. The steps are sprayed in bed liner, matched to the wheels.

Looks great! Can you make the sunroof delete panel and that sick rear panel again? What are your headliner plans?
Thanks! I could replicate the sunroof panel I made on this, but I will be making a sunroof delete panel soon that bolts into the existing sunroof brackets. This will be offered for sale on my website. I am considering offering it painted to match the factory code too. I have already designed some of it and need to complete it soon.

Rear panel? are you asking about the side vents on the quarters?

I will use the perimeter of the old headliner that is already formed to the roof shape, but I will cut the remaining inside out. Then I am building a full length storage ceiling.

Will it weld in? I want to eliminate the entire cassette. And I meant for your tailgate. That turned out nice.

No, it will bolt in and use windshield urethane as a seal. The sunroof unit will be completely replaced by this panel. Also, I am designing a storage unit to go there, so it isn't a hole in the headliner.

Yes, I can make the tailgate again.

I would be interested in the tailgate panel as well. I have been wanting to do this but don't have access to the equipment to make that panel and yours came out really nice.

Wow. I’m first in line for a sunroof delete panel. Losing weight up top and getting rid of a failure point sounds good to me!

I didn't think people would want or like the tailgate I did. I can make these if the tailgate is shipped to me.
Would you make the panel only so we can cut it in ourselves? I am in Gilbert, so I can bring you mine if I need to.

I need a tailgate that I can fit it onto, otherwise I have no way of knowing how to make it.

You've piqued my interest. It is rumoured that the "engineer" that designed the sunroof on the 80s went on to design CVTs at Nissan.

There looks to be a 8 inch or so hole in the floor of the body towards the middle. Could you tell me where that goes? Gas tank fuel pump?

Yes, fuel pump/sender access.
