I wanted some aftermarket wheels but didn't want to spend the extra money. So, I sand blasted the original wheels, sprayed epoxy primer then paint code 153 which is an FJ62 color. I am loving these wheels now and I am glad I used them.

Those look awesome, and as much as l like so many aftermarket wheels ... the factory wheels really look perfect on the 80.

That is true, I was just really trying to do many custom things to this project and wheels seemed to be an easy addition. I am glad that I cheaped out though because this color on these wheels complements the green very well.

Looks gunmetal-ish. Perfect.

I had bought some BIO sliders and bumpers for this 80 a few years ago. I wanted to customize the front tube bumper, so here is my design. I will add some things to the rear bumper and sliders too. Also, eggshell sheen clear coat on the new mirrors.

I made some step plates for the sliders. They will be sprayed with liner and color matched to the wheels. I drilled holes into the sliders and used rivet nuts, then button head SS bolts.

Also, when I made the steps for the sliders, I made a rack that will specifically hold my tent. The cross braces have nuts welded in place to hold the tent. This picture is after I painted it and used an eggshell sheen clear coat. The rack is upside-down here, hanging. My booth filter got wet and fell down in this picture!
