"At least ~2.5%" is the best estimation we have from concrete numbers if you're looking at the batch from the latest recall. Anything more is speculation.
The number ever increasing the farther one gets from Missoula, Montana. Or something like that.

Don't forget disinformation/misinformation agents from competing car brands/influencers and bots are here as well feeding the fire.
That’s what I was getting at and trying not to say it. Just quite wild people are doom and glooming in here basing their “information” on “experts” on social media. A lot of us over the years have put our money where our mouth is with Toyota/Lexus and I highly doubt they’ll leave us hanging if something happens to their flagship vehicle.

Besides the one Lx600 that failed as mentioned, between Houston/Austin, have there been any other documented failures here?

Yup, i think that's why if some of us ever experience a failure, we should start a new thread and it only should be from the first hand account. However, us with MY25/26 version, are still accumulating mileage. So if there's any chance of it happening, around north of 40k, some of us will get there this year.

That failure does not seem to be related to the V35A engine recall. At least, I did not see an update from the guy here after Lexus fixed his issue and told him his wife used improper gas.

Looks like we have one, first had account, documented in Club Lexus.

I saw an LX 600 torn down and receiving a new engine. This is in the New England area… I can comment no more

Is the recall repair a long block or a short block?

I was told directly by my service advisor it was a long block sitting on a pallet that they’ve done a few of already here in New England. I’m under the original recall that came out for my 22 LX. My question is if we don’t do it now , but wait longer, might the situation change from a long block to a short block?

16,000 miles on my 2025. No concerns thus far.

Edit: mine's a hybrid.

53,000 on my 24. No problems with engine but it is on the recall list. I started using either 0w30 or 5w30 around 40k. I wish I had started earlier.
I am going to be driving from OKC to Fla in June and the engine is a bit of a concern but not enough to take my wife's diesel Discovery.

Wow...that is a lot for a 24. Good to know and that you have not had any issues. Please keep us updated and hopefully in 2 more years you reach 100k miles on the V35A without problems and by then all these concerns are a bit more dispelled.

I believe this video might finally explain some things to us. I do tow a boat 1500 miles round trip every other month. I suppose if you tow a lot you’re in more jeopardy than others that do not. Still, I do feel better that they are addressing the issue with internals and not just a new “old” motor.

I drive from OKC to north Texas every week so I am certain I will hit 200k miles within the next 2 years. I seriously considered going back to a LX570 but since I will get a new engine if something happens, I decided to stick with the LX600.

While this seems to confirm what the Aussies have been saying for quite some time, I don't think there is a single LS that has been used for towing and I have heard that the problem existed with the LS before the V35A was ever used in a Tundra.
