Not City Racer, but 16" wheels ala Mr. Manny's specs.

Toyo M-55s, 255/85/r16

2-1/2" Alcan lift in rear, 200-300 lbs in back.

PO installed shackle reversal in front, ... unknown lift.

Mr Bean, would you mind posting a pic of your LC from a side view so I can see both wheels (Front/rear)…?

I’m at a decision point…🤔. Thanks!!!

Truck has an old man emu lift. I think it's 2".
They are sub 8" wide. Did great on the trails. Not too noisy on the road.
Some inner fender rubbing.
They do rub tie rod at the end of the drag link and the pitman arm. Going to try a 1" wheel spacer on the drivers side this weekend.

255/85 is pretty wide for the City Racer wheels. I'm sure people run the size with no issues, but I doubt a tire manufacturer would endorse it. I like my 235/85x16 on City Racer wheels.

I didn’t know that size was an option.
Edit: I know the reason Nolan likes the Geolander 255’s is bc they are almost exactly a 33” OD tire.

@Green Bean do your tires rub?
@cstav86, why do your tires rub? I thought that the 255/85’s on 16’s were the perfect combo according to Nolan Grogan.
Regarding the pretty wide statement. The tread is sub 8” wide on a 5.5” rim. Thats not much of a stretch IMO.
They rub on the drag link and the pitman arm on flat ground at full lock on my 40. I do have FJ60 knuckles on the stock axles, but that can’t make that much difference.
If you don’t wheel your rig they might not rub, but if you wheel your rig these will rub the inner fender, both front and rear. Especially up front if turning the wheel.

show off : )

You used different tires for SAS 7, right? Because of the rubbing?

Yours is probably my favorite 40 Curtis.
