Wow this year was brutal for the Florida crew on the way up and the way back with tons of roadside issues repairs and repairs but all trucks made it 600 miles each way under their own power the whole way.

Halfway home in South Carolina the 45 blew a chunk out of the radiator (and has a cracked cylinder head), we set up shop in a Autozone parking lot and jammed a Dodge Ram radiator and hoses in it, cut the hood off (the bolts were all siezed), and drove it all the way home stopping every 75 miles or so to add water since it was still burning it from the cracked head.

Gauntlet. But we did it

By the way, this FJ45 has been off the road for at least 35 years. Since I have owned it it hasn’t driven more then 25-30 miles total before this trip. My friend Dale who decided this was a good idea is just insane.

You guys are legends for this, crazy too, but legends. Thanks again being a bit part of the event, for bringing the whole big crew down, and all of the great vibes!

Relic Run was a great event. Thank you ONSC.

I really appreciate you guys hosting the event! It was a first for me and I never thought I’d see so many cruisers in one place (other than the LC Heritage Museum)

I tried to get a picture of every relic (there’s a few duplicates):

Just wish the 90 Series was in the legacy lineup lol (even though it’s a Prado)
P.M. Sent

Would you be able to make the photos downloadable? Appreciate the shots!

Looks like a great event as always. Congrats to all involved.

As the post relic run glow is wearing off we're taking notes and talking about how it went to better prepare for next year, we may not send out a survey as we did last year so please feel free to put feedback here or DM me! A few notes:

- People seemed to like the raffle setup this year with fewer but higher quality items so we will continue to do that! Still open to raffle feedback though
- We sold a ton of merch and was surprised by how popular it was! We will discuss ordering more stuff and maybe adding options (open to suggestions). We ordered 20% over on t shirts and sold out extremely quickly so hopefully more of y'all sign up in time for the shirt!
- Several great volunteers stepped up which was a huge help and we organized this a bit better before, more to come on that but we're considering a formal "relic run committee" for volunteers that want to help a bit more in event outside the BOD that still want to help organize. You wouldn't have to do this to volunteer (IE being an inspector) but would help the BOD and make the event better!

Faster raffle/awards would be my biggest note for improvement. Started almost an hour behind schedule and took nearly 3 hours to finish. Anyone who brought young kids with them had to bail if not skip entirely with how late it went, I handed my tickets to a stranger close to 10pm to get my son to bed. Some of this was participants taking literal minutes to read their tickets for each item announcement (maybe can implement some kind of timer?), but also crazy long descriptions for each item and gaps between each drawing. Personally I'd vote for even fewer raffle items in particular the sub-$50ish category to speed things up. The car show awards were also tough to decipher, people didn't seem to know their assigned card number and relied on loose descriptions of their relics to finally match name to number. If possible to get someone's name or other identifier associated with the card, could maybe solve that.

All just my thoughts, still 100% respect the hard work that goes into the event and respect those who volunteer to put it on. Had a great time at the event and happy to help with ideas above if I can attend next year.

Everyone I talked with loved the hats!

What??! You don't want to hear me do heavily censored 'crowd work' with children all night??? ;)

The BOD has learned a ton from this event and have plans to remedy both of your very very valid callouts. I'm gonna try and help them make that happen.

And yes, the hats rock :)
