weather could be interesting as there could be winds , maybe rain and snow up high

wonder if there is any left over snow from last week, my guess is up high and north facing may have some snow cover

All together, it was 243 miles from driveway to driveway.

Another great drive. Scenic, dramatic weather, huge elk herd, Seth rescued a huuuge dodge pickup and a Chevy from a roadside mudpit.

Started with an amazing sunrise and got home with time for a 30min pressure wash before dinner. Success

Well done, ya'll! My '90 doesn't have the brake situation in place to do anything other than in town driving just now so didn't chime in on this run. My family and I had a great time "offroading" our minivan and camper into some good BLM camping in WY but this looks like a great time y'all had. Who drives the gray 62 from this trip? Mine's the same color except both my hood and roof have the faded patina of your roof.

Yeah, I was headed down Jimtown Rd and came across some young guys in full size trucks who had gotten stuck in some mud. They broke the ratchet strap they were trying to use as a yank strap just as I pulled up. Left to themselves, someone was going to get hurt, so I stopped and mustered up my NCO voice to get them to shut everything down. I set them up with a kinetic rope hooked to actual recovery gear, gave them careful instructions, and got everyone back. That got the first truck out. The second one was buried to the axles so I set my 40 uphill of it, so I could pull up and out, and pulled out all of my winch line. I had someone in my 40 holding the brakes and I used my wireless controller so I could keep visual and voice communication with the kid driving the truck. It took a while, because I had to pull him ~75 feet, but it got him out safely and without damaging anything.
