Agree. 4 cylinder with hybrid? Talk about a let down. 2021 LX/LC should be worth their weight in gold
The direction doesn’t looks promising for that either.
Not going to lie, I would buy the Tacoma Trailhunter before I buy that 1958 model. Trailhunter is estimated to be about $8k less and has better features.1958 (Base) estimated at $56k. Prices go up from there.

I love it. Times change and the Land Cruiser is Toyota doing what it needs to do to keep up. "Simple" Land Cruisers will still exist in copious quantities for those who want to buy them. For most, this will be a great trajectory for the LC to go. Throw some skids/sliders on them, trim the bumpers, and you're good to run most trails. Also, forced induction is fun.

My issue is the same one I had with the new Sequoia.
The sequoia rear cargo area and this 2024 Land Cruiser have the same problem with a lot of lost storage consumed to make room for batteries. That lift up clearance height looks massive from top of bumper to top of battery deck.
Regretting they don’t have a tailgate split rear hatch.
I don’t hate it, but I’m not LOVING it like I wanted.
I still want a US 70 series.
