we can find way better group camping up above cedar for 13 plus rigs . not on any listed maps , but we camp in that area alot
Great to have the local knowledge, as we've learned at various Pig Parties over the years. Thanks to Doomer @Megadoomer and Rush @RUSH55 for starting us down this path.

Thanks to all who know a lot more about all the great spots to create a stellar pig event.

The best I can do to contribute to these planning dialogues is to say, count me in. Dates and locations work for me.

Unless a F#$@^%N wheel falls of. But even with past calamities, they don't seem to get in the way.

Just starting to wake up from a work fog and am looking forward to wallowing in the mud. (just a metaphor, IH8MUD)

See all soon

Sounds like we've made a decision, so I'm handing over the maps to Jeri. She's been anxious to lay out our route. We're heading out a week or so early to do some camping and exploring around Utah. Years ago we found a place called Muley Point, so we're going back there in the wagon. The last time was with our 5500 Ram towing a 18' trailer.

Thanks to everyone for putting their time and effort into making all these PP's a blast.

Calling @J Mack, dust it off and see you guys there.

I didn’t do it, Jim🤷🏻‍♂️😆
"That Duck Creek/Navajo Lake area is amazing! Checked it out on the way back from PP2019. Very scenic, no shortage of backroads and trails in the vicinity. Also a short jaunt from several State/National Parks like Zion and Coral Pink Sand Dunes."

Sorry if I misunderstood....

Advice , duck creek area will still have snow in june , and be a muddy sloppy place .. we normally camp there in july every year , and depending on the standing water could be a bit buggy ..

Where we having it
Looking like, so far in Southern Utah and I'm getting excited knowing we probably have a plan. We only get to plan one maybe two big trips each year and trying to make the Pig Party one of them is a big deal to us. Jeri and I both look forward to seeing everybody again and spend some time together. Who knows what mess the country will be in by June, but I hope we still can pull this off.

Let's do this! 🤘

I am going to say it will be Utah Dixie. Now we need to choose the dates. Please vote for 1 of the weekends if you have a strong possibility of attending.

any dates are good for me . i will go out and scout for a camp spot as soon as the rain stops ... think about what you want to see ,aka .. a drive through zion . drive through bryce canyon . kodachrome basin , long drive down to the grand canyon over look( snap point ) . or others .
It has rained for at least 2 days every week for the last 2 months . and the forecast says we are due for even more this month ..

It looks like the land between Dixie and Zion is BLM. I wonder if we can base camp in BLM and do a day in Zion and a day in Dixie? Not sure if Dixie has much to offer. I never heard of it till now but a lot of people talk about Zion. But you @fj55-100 would know if there was good trails at either one.

Sad to say that I'm out Gents. Already have a CO trip planned those weekends (kids gotta see their grandparents). There is an off chance I could run into you guys on the way back home to AZ. Take lot of pictures!

area on your map . has few roads and alot of private lands , tons of homestead hunting cabins . will still have snow in june . ..
Look up the barracks trail by zion ,has tons of overlanding guys info on it as it has been found out by the interweb in the last few years .

I'd suggest relying on Evan @fj55-100 to ground truth the 2023 Pig Party routes. He did a great job when we went to the North Rim. Zion is impressive but I suspect we'd be in a long parade of sightseers if we're on the main route through it. I've always been intrigued about Kodachrome Basin. Hope we can make this one and keep our uninterrupted western PP string going.

Given voting so far, it looks like 6/23-25 in the Cedar City UT area. Shall we write it down in ink? And put Doomer @Megadoomer and Evan @fj55-100 in charge?

New piggie shirts…..????

I am in contact with Ace Overland for the shirts. I was waiting for a final destination before I cut him loose on a design.
