According to @FJ73Texas they weigh 31.7lbs. My RW’s on my bathroom scale weigh 23.7lbs with fake BL rings, 21.5 w/o rings. Not sure on stock LC but our stock LX weigh 36.2  on the same scale.

Edit: at least everyone can agree that white is the far superior color for a LC so I’m glad it’s available in that color ;)

Your scale must be a little different than my bathroom scale, I came up with 24.5 lbs with the ring, 22 even w/o (well within the margin of error on such a scale, I know :hillbilly:;)) Your figures convinced me to drive 6 hours round trip to pick up a set of 5 RW's (based on weight of the BBS being within a couple lbs of my stock LC wheels, decided that was a no-go)

Well I must be the minority because I like it... I personally hate all the holes and stuff once I removed my third row seats... I like the new grill, the blacked out lights and the contrast stitching. I like the rims and the overall looks of the cruiser with the minor cosmetic tweaks. The way I look at it all I have to do is add slee sliders and tires.... it just comes down to what the price is. If the price is the same or a little cheaper I would buy the heritage. I can’t imagine they are going to add a ton on the pricing since they deleted a lot of things. I think I am likely to get one. I sold my wife’s 13 Land Cruiser for an LX570, I think I may spoil myself and get the heritage edition for me...

I’m with you dude. It’s a dope ride!

Perhaps minority here, but I'd venture to say you're much more representative of the target mainstream buying population of this vehicle.

Must admit. I laughed out loud

I’m pretty sure if they price this at say $92,000 no one will buy it... it’s encroaching into Lexus LX570 territory. Msrp on the existing Land Cruiser is already encroaching into LX570 price point. Say what you want about the LX but that suv will still do more than what 95% of new land cruiser owners would ask their suv’s to do... the 2nd and 3rd owners are the ones that usually wheel them harder.

Car and Driver says it should be a thousand or 2 higher... I never pay anything but invoice or a couple grand below invoice. And at 1200 units made I’m sure they are not going to fly off the shelves. I mean really who is going to pay 5-10k to get less?? Look at the 2 row LX much lower price point. If they ask 90+ than that’s a fail on Toyota’s part if dealers ask a premium I’m sure most people would just buy a regular one or wait for the 300 just my opinion...

Heritage for the LC has to do with dirt.

DIRT.

-They could so easily point to DIRT in some part of the presentation, & if they did...they’d the scoffing here would cease (including mine).

Even by simply shipping them with a slight lift and 32” KO2’s they’d attract a ton of folks who pass by the LC thinking it’s just an overpriced, smaller Sequoia for soccer moms.

It’s always AMAZING what a huge visual change comes from just a lift and AT tires... But people have a hard time SEEING that in the show room. Throw a 2” lift and 32.5’s on, and boom. They’d see a different reaction in the show room.

Basically the missing TRD Pro LC.
It’s a strategy they’ve already succeeded with on the long-toothed 4R.

Now THAT... would be something far more legit for “heritage.”

Dirt is the thang...

100% agree. My old FJ trail teams although a smaller tire still had BFG’s on them.... they should have had the balls did 17’s and 33’s BFG KO2’s slee sliders and even just adding the toyota factory front spacer to give it a little lift would look awesome...

A 1-2" lift, 32"KO2 and a rear locker and this would've had major appeal to both the folks above like Rando, and the more off-road enthusiasts like the majority of us here.

Although the "TOYOTA LAND CRUISER - TRD PRO - HERITAGE EDITION" badging would've taken up most of the rear quarter panel!

Exactly what I mean.

They could have done a basic lift like OME...KO2...and a Harrop e-locker...then charged an extra $10k.

The new land cruiser buyer is not the same as a new 4Runner or sequoia buyer.
In the USA the new land cruiser buyer buys the truck for durability, resale and prestige. Price is not an issue. The land cruiser doesn’t need a TRD pro version. It’s already the pro. Toyota USA knows exactly what they are doing. The land cruisers evolution into an expensive luxury suv is a result of USA market demographics. Unfortunately it’s not about dirt for the average NEW land cruiser buyer in the USA.

Perhaps...
But I’m not even talking about going after off road folks. I’m talking about the IMAGE it would better portray.

Many of the same customers who are attracted by the IDEA of this “Heritage” thing are the same guys who like to fancy themselves as rugged (even if they aren’t so rugged). Sorta like the mid-life crisis crowd that jump on a Jeep even though it will never see even a dusty road. The LC frankly looks like 20x more rugged with the most simple lift/tire combo.

I’d wager most TRD Pros don’t even get dirty...but they LOOK awesome because real lifts and tires also happen to look awesome.

The bonus there is that Toyota also wouldn’t be lame with mere sticker and emblem upgrades. They would have a real THING.

Oh well.

They know what they are doing, I’m sure...but I kinda hate that it’s stickers and emblem upgrades only. Feels a bit blasphemous... :hillbilly:

Our buddy Eric in IN has built and sold 3 very high priced "TRD PRO" Land Cruisers. They have all sold shockingly quick, even the first one the MUD collective rated sub-par.

It probably wasn't about DIRT for those buyers. But I'm sure they liked the IMAGE of dirt.

We could have gotten this edition with 20” rims lx570 running boards to kill break over angles, front Facia to kill approach angles rear skirt to kill departure angles and AHC instead of KDSS to hinder the Rear Flex, cool Lexus like stitching the seats and embroidered land cruiser logo in the seats... and a cool logo on the D Pillar too.

But.... Toyota knows they would sell 7 of these in a year so we get the Heritage instead.

Toyota cannot lift the truck 3 inches and sell it without bigger tires without exposing itself to huge liability issues due to increased rollover, etc.

That is why it will not happen here ever.

Just my two cents from 19 years as a litigation attorney and being around rollover cases. I know a local case where Walmart got popped for putting oversized tires on a truck which later rolled over. Imagine the field day when a lifted LC rolls.

Toyota is not going to lift the truck and put big tires on it. Will never happen. Y’all can keep suggesting it. But it’s not going to happen for that reason alone.

I suggested a very small lift and +1 size tires. Isn't that exactly what Toyota is doing with the TRD Pro offerings? An upgraded suspension and AT tires?

Let alone.. Walmart can claim they didn’t know exactly what would happen. Toyota can’t.

Toyota saw enough market here to do the testing and see what would happen when you put a slightly better (but not much taller) suspension and ATs on a taco and 4runner and clearly thought it was worth it to develop those. Even for a near-$50k version of each. They just won’t sell enough landcruisers to make the math work.

And that seems to be what so many are forgetting. It’s about dollars, y’all. Toyota knows what to do to make them, better than any of us.

Toyota already does it though.
-The TRD Pro 4Runner is factory lifted...and factory equipped with ATs exactly as is being suggested here. Sell like hot cakes & Toyota can’t keep up with TRD Pro 4R demand.

**In the end, none of this really matters.

-Just strange how the Tacoma, Tundra and 4Runner TRD Pros got real upgrades...
...but legendary LC gets....
Wait for it—
-Stickers, paint...
...and a spool of colored thread.
Woooo!
Lol
:)

Movin on...
