I'm not sure how they do it, but somehow they are limiting the range for certain functions. Lock/unlock works from quite a distance on my cars and LC, but the remote start function is very short.

Never had a problem with any of my Lexus's/Toyota's opening the trunks/hatches when unintended. It takes a deliberate hold of the button. And like mentioned earlier, it's range is not overly long.

A nice guy over at T4R posted the changes on the LC 200 for me yesterday. Thought I would share.
As a result MSRP has also been lowered $1,110.

A small victory I'd say for end of model lifecycle updates.

I merely copied and pasted that from a gentleman who was posting on the 4runner forum. So unfortunately I don’t have access to such info. He was posting definitive proof of changes or lack thereof to the 4runner and I prodded him for LC200 info.
