Tempting. I have a customer that really wants a desiel in his 84fj60 I'm not a real fan of the Cummins 2.8

So, after lunch today we tackled setting the 79 body down on the 80 chassis.

Took us about four hours. Now the 79 was pretty well stripped already and it is simply sitting on the 80 chassis. Yet, here it is! We are also under an inch on final resting location on the chassis, all the way around. We wanted to do this to obviously kick start the build but also this consolidates a lot of parts in and around the shop. We need room and this gives it to us.

Any ways, here is a four minute video for those of you who like this stuff to kick start the build! My Cruiser envy is off the charts on this one!! 🤩🤩😂😂

Wow that is one clean frame! Exciting build so far! :)

Ya, it’s a 95 so 26yr old chassis. Stunning condition, truly. Exactly what we want to build this Cruiser. 🤙

Alright so spent some time the last few days, in particular today working on and talking to John about how he wants this Cruiser when it’s all said and done.

I can say that it is only getting a 2” or so lift. We might have a little from the body swap but we are trying to keep that to a minimum and it looks like we can get it very close if not the same as the body is on a 70-series chassis. Tires will be 33-34” range.

No crazy mods on this one, not a ton of accessories. John said today, I want a new 79 pickup thats a little bit of a sleeper but is just a pickup. I want to use it as a pickup.

We are certainly going to have a few nice accessories and a little bling but for the most part, it’s a lot tamer than his 80 we just finished. No big Aussie style bed, no 35’s or 37’s.

Cheers
