J and I are in. We'll be there Saturday mid afternoon. We'll bring some snacks and such for pre-dinner.

I have confirmation of the work we'll be doing for the workday! Check this out:

Annilie will be working with you and you’ repair the guardrail at the hill climb on Dickey Bell Trail & if there is an extra guardrail not needed at the Dickey Bell Trail hill climb there was a place it could be installed on Falls Dam Trail. There are plenty of posts at the Flatwoods Trailhead and Annilie will bring extra nuts, bolts, & washers. We’ll also have timber and carriage bolts there to fix the wooden guiderail fencing around Falls Dam, Art Lilley & Wolf Den Trailheads. If you got drills and drill bits for a ½ inch whole to drill the timbers that would be good too.

If you guys have a pneumatic drill or extra ratchet sets to bring up too that would be good. Some of our stuff has disappeared over the year. Tomorrow I can go over to the FOU barn and get the augers & draggers, loppers, etc. from there for Annilie to bring with her.

Thanks a lot. Bye - Terry

If we are working, are we required to have a pass? I don't mind, I just want to allow for time to get one if needed.

Good question. As a volunteer you are provided with a day trail pass, just like with the normal workdays. You may use your own trail pass if you have one, and you will need to have passes for the other days you use the trails, but you're covered for the workday.

"a pneumatic drill"-seriously? Anybody bringing an air compressor with enough cfm's to effectively run an air drill?

I thought the same thing, lol. I think she misspoke. Electric or gas drills are what we've used in the past.

I have a cordless drill and a few batteries.

I'll let you guys use my milwaukee set if you need them. m18, 1/2 inch impact gun with a couple 3 or 5 amp batteries. I've also got a makita corded 1/2 inch hammer drill if someone has a generator. Let me know, and I can give it to phteven when I see him later this week. Wont be able to make it this weekend, will be installing a dishwasher at home.

I think i've also got some long/large auger bits too.

We have two 20V cordless drills we will bring along with ratchet sets in case it is needed.

I don't understand that unit of measure, do you mean 12mm or 13mm?

Most of the guardrail nuts are 31.7 mm

I'm not sure what size of nuts are for the wooden fence.

we meet Saturday morning at 9 a.m. at the Hunt Camp parking lot.

******* updated. *********

Thanks

Lots of people will enjoy looking over your 4BT powered FJ60 Yan :D

Bring some sweets if you'd like, for the workday, bring a good work ethic!

you can bet on good work ethic, sweets and of course good beer. I will have to put a sign on fj to LOOK and touch at Your own risk because it is rusty, rustier then me at cooking chilli.

This will be my last event with ONSC this will also be my last weekend before I road trip towards California. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone. Can someone make me some meatballs? Unfortunately since I will be moving I will not be able to provide a chili dish to share. @alk747triodad @erymer i promise I will stay for breakfast Sunday morning. I will bring some coffee, bacon and eggs. I will miss my ONSC family dearly.
Where you headed to in California? I am headed there next month to Monterey Bay Area.
