You guys have some big tires for a GX 😳
Thought my 32.7” were pretty large. I’m not feeling tire size insecure at all now 🙄
Oh there’s a price to pay. Just lifted one side at a time from the LCA and got some rubbing on the bmc. Gotta figure out best alignment and probably do more aggressive BMC. Gotta pay to play 🤷🏻‍♂️

Oh yeah I hear ya. I’m happy with my rabbit hole of mods as it is for now. Happy to watch you go further in though 👍🏻

Don't mean to hand out "tire envy" ;)
Trust me, I really didn't want to go with that size tire (315/70R17). The diameter isn't so much the problem but the added width is where most of the rubbing comes from.
My previous tire size was perfect (285/75R17), but there was no one in the entire U.S. of A. that had any BFG KO2's that size! I would have had to go down 2 or 3 sizes, into about your size tire, and with all due respect I didn't want to do that. The only option was up one size which happens to be in the 35" range.

Funny I almost went with the 285/75r17 to avoid rubbing but prices were more than the 35s I was looking at.

Definitely right about the width being a issue. Toyo AT3 makes a 35x11.50r17 and Kenda makes a 35x10.50r17. But I wanted a mud terrain haha. I figured Id get the biggest tire and trim to fit 🤣🤣🤣

On a side note: The yokos I got were $264 last week and now have jumped up to $387 🤯

I went down some rabbit holes even on my tundra with 35” diameter. 285/70r17 are large relative to stock. I also enjoy the perfect compromise for this vehicle of c-range tires in that size 😊
I like watching you guys push the envelope 👍🏻

I told myself I’m sticking with 33s and done with it. After seeing one picture of a GX on 35s I said “Ok time for new tires!” 😂😂😂

I think its time for a transmission fluid change. Has anyone done a simple drain and fill before? How man quarts of Toyota ATF WS fluid is needed for just that?

Had this done a few months ago and a drain and fill took between 3 and 4qts of fluid

Just for giggles, have you taken your spare tire off and set it somewhere away from your vehicle and see if your TPMS still lights up?
If it doesn't with the tire away from the vehicle, my guess is that you can probably just remove the sensors from all the rims and call 'er done!
Just replaced all the sensors in my rig a couple of months ago, about $500.00 for all 5 wheels. That included parts and installation.

Yes I took it off and while driving to work light came on. Once I put it back under light went off.

Anyone know if we can disable the tpms sensor in the spare? Or even better disable the entire system?
There's always the "put-a-clamp-on-the-sensors-and-throw-them-in-the-back" method...

on the other hand, with TechStream, it's not that bad to reprogram new sensors if you're swapping sets of tires. :meh: I find the benefits of TPMS outweigh the hassles, but that's just me. There's always the "black-eletrical-tape-on-the-dash" method , too.

Not sure at what year of if the newer GX's even have it, but I wish my 2013 showed pressure for each tire instead of a one for all "Pressure Low Light".
That would help a lot when off roading.

I check my tire pressure weekly so no need to have them. Plus I like the rubber valve stems in case they get hit. If I hit the plastic ones with tpms I’m stranded.

Enter the TRD Off Road wheels  I know that doesn't help you if you're not running them... Happy Thanksgiving!

- 5 TPMS sensors have to be programmed into system. No way to code out with Techstream

- You can view PSI and tire temperature with OBD Link on 10-19 models...and your phone
TPMS is one area a generic OBD dongle is not generally going to work. There are a few out there but hard to track down. The one that comes with OBD Link will work.

- 460 TPMS Delete

- 2020+ can program new TPMS sensors without Techstream
