Well figured I would go ahead and post what I have done to my 4x4.

Sold it and bought a 120 gx470. Ordered the radflo 3" lift coilovers, arb onboard air, and 33" tires. Waiting for the lift to get here and get it put on to order sliders front bumper and winch.

No pictures, it did not happen.:flipoff2:

OK, you got me. So here's the old 80 and the new gx.

Make sure to post some before and after pictures when you get done. The wife loves the GX470.

Agreed. Love to see a GX get the royal treatment.

And kudo's for you having the GX picture not on pavement. Most of those never see that kind of treatment.

It broke my heart to sell the 80, but it was time. The only stipulations from the wife was that I had to get another lexus to wheel. I will be honest even if it wheels half as good as the 80, the hp/tq and ride quality is so much better. Lift and rear air ride delete kit are supposed to be in on wednesday, so I know what next weeks project will be.

Called them for prices.

$20 a wheel for media blasting. (Cheap)

$45 a wheel for powder coating. (Cheap)

5-7 day turn around for both.

Set of 5 wheels would be $325.

I will have around $225 in the process doing the powder coating myself. Hmm.

I've used him twice. Blasted the rolling chassis of my 40 and just had him blast the new bumper for Mini-Me's 80. Does what he says when he says he will.

Should have got a better pic, but this followed me home today. About 6" of lift then it should be able to be pulled by a 4x4.

I don't know how many times me or one of my buddies has needed something media blasted. How much easier it would have been then sanding by hand or whatever it was we came up with at the time. I have seriously thought about buying a blaster then just charging whoever wants to use the thing a small fee and they just buy there own media until its finally paid itself off. Then it would be rent able on a media replacement basis.

There is a place between KC and Topeka (Desoto maybe) that you can rent time to blast something. FYI. @1MAC used it before and might comment.

I have a HF setup; however, is not strong enough for tough applications, and really becomes a time value issue on the larger jobs.

35's are on with the powder coated wheels. I need to redo the spare tire carrier to fit the spare 35.

Impressed with the tires so far. As mentioned by others, a little noise at low speeds but not to noticeable on the highway.

For those that have the Kumho's, what psi are you running for daily driving?

@StucknKS welcome to the club brother ! Run mine at 35 psi, very rough ride, maybe I should try 30 sometime. Off road don't be afraid to lower them down to 12 for a much better ride. They would probably take 10psi to be real honest but I haven't tried it. 12psi all day though when we were up in the passes last year.

Good info. They aired mine to 35. I will try that for now and maybe venture down to 30 one of these days.

Thanks!

Lexi first pretty please. :santa:

As some of you know I've spent a few days exploring off road parks across the Ozark Mountains of Southern MO. Due to some poor spotting of random people I wheeled with at these parks, Lexi has a few more stories and rash to accompany.
:bang::censor:

We need to schedule a spotter training event Maybe in conjunction with annual meeting?

Pics to follow after I unload her tomorrow. I am ready for my own bed.

But addicted to IH8MUD so I will catch up on the 30 watched thread alerts I have missed in the last week as I drift off to sleep.

You are such the tease, do we have a raisin in the making?

Let's just say for now that the new 37's rub in a few spots when stuffed and didn't at the start of this adventure.
