What leads you to this statement? The QX is built on the Nissan Patrol, which is a very capable 4x4 used in other parts of the world.

You can't compare a QX to an LC. Completely different vehicles. You can compare the QX to Lincoln, Cadillac as they are 1st one road and off-road being secondary. This group is more off-road 1st and on-road secondary-LC,G550,LR4, Range Rover and jeep. You will never see an Infinit trying to follow the LC off-road. When you mean it has more technology, are referring to the interior Bells and whistles? Because, no way does it have better off-road tech, and personally you don't want so much tech to go wrong while you're in the boondocks. To me, the least amount of "tech" the better for longevity and reliability. The big Infinti is for housewives and not anyone over 6ft. Very small cockpit!

It shares the same platform but is not designed for real off-road use. Anyone who has taken these on a real off-road trail will tell you the same thing. Oh wait, nobody on YouTube or in reviews I've search have. Here's one of many many reviews I have found saying exactly that. They built the QX to compete wit GL, Esclade, Lincoln and Sequioa...not GWagon, Land Cruiser or Range Rover

Based off your logic, shouldn't your comparison have been a QX versus the LX rather than the LC?

The QX is much more capable than people give it credit for, and C&D is one of the last places I would seek advice on SUV or Japanese vehicles. If it doesn't come from a place with meat products labelled schnitzel or blond-haired/blue-eyed guys named Hans, they couldn't give a sh*t.

I gave one example of a review. My 8yr. Old can find 20 more reputable reviews in a simple google search on how the QX is not designed for off-road. The LX is much more capable off-road with its AHC system which the QX with 20's does not have giving the LX an added advantage. You may question my logic as you like but I'm a research freak and buy only proven products and not dedicated to anyone one brand. I purchase solely based on what I've researched and tested myself. The Inifinti QX is a road vehicle first and to take it as a serious off-roader is pretty hilarious to even debate the fact. I'm sure it's great for normal...basic off-road and your typical trails that provide a wide path but the LX as a seThe LX is very capable off-road but it doesn't easily allow many off-road upgrades that I want to add such as a bull bar and winch. I don't recall an Infinti QX doing any off-road racing and LX is very proven is the racing industry. Prove me otherwise that the QX is a contender....I have travelled to many parts of the World including places that you wouldn't dare go outside unless you wanted to be kidnapped and have never seen a Infiniti taking on long rough roads or used for treks. What I have seen is many Land Cruisers a few LX in Dubai with a winch setup and LC's from the 1960's to the new 200's being used by farmers, Foreign inspectors, UN and foreign dignitaries. I have seen very few Patrols and zero Infiniti QX anything. LC and Defenders are the most commonly seen vehicles in remote areas. Go test drive a QX for yourself. It feels like a road car which isn't the feel you want for off-road for starters.

I was disappointed when Range Rover made the front end incapable of adding a winch with bar. To me, that makes it less capable. Manufacturers can have the best off-road platform but make it less capable by preventing recovery add-ons. The best off-readers with luxury "valet worthy" are G-Wagon, LX, LC and LR4 LUX.

In the end, it doesn't matter, but whatever works for you.

Just stood next to a 2016 LC for the first time and wow. It's much bigger than I thought it was... Vehicle is a beast, i love it. Blue was sharp too.

Might sound weird, but mine in my dreams is blue. Still happy I ordered magnetic grey, but there have been multiple dreams since then where it was blue.

Perhaps your brain is recalling Christo Slee's INSANE 100 series that he converted to standard front axle...and called the "Blueberry??"

I was dreaming in BLUEBERRY when he built this beast...

What the heck is this in the new lx

Are ya talking about the offroad turn assist? The button with the arrow?

Turn assist. It basically locks your rear, inside tire so that it "anchors" the inside of a tight turn in loose terrain. So... You basically drive the rest of your vehicle in a tight circle around your locked, inside-rear tire. It's a pretty cool ability for super-tight turns off-road.

Thanks! That's what I guessed it would be. Kind of a front dig button I guess.

looks like ARB has a bumper out for the 16......

Looks better than the previous ARB 200 series bumper. Looks like it does not stick out so far in front either.
The whole thing looks redesigned. I like it.

I think the grill bulges out more or looks like it.

I agree. I think the Toyota grill bulges out more on the 16 too.

Pretty sure the front end is structurally identical under that new grill.
I doubt ARB would do a full redesign over a cosmetic refresh.

On the other hand...there ARE two bumper part numbers for 2008-11 vs. 2012-15. So who knows...
