I think I finally am getting my GX to be something I esthetically like. If I can move the grill up about an inch I will be able to cut some plastic or aluminum to fill the space between the grill head lights and the crash structure I co-opted as a mount for my winch controller.

Maybe find a small sheet of PVC at McMaster-Carr, or if you have a heat gun, buy a short length of black PVC pipe, cut along one side and with a heat gun flatten it out, then cut to trim for your needs.

Switch to M1 15w50 today
Painted my front skid as most of the pain was gone.
finally got my other recovery point on

My passenger side rear bilstein is going out and i have two leaky axle seals plus the ripped cvj boot which will be fixed soon.

The good thing about painted skids is you know where/if you slammed into a rock in case you didn't feel it in the wheel or your ass lol

Figured it would be good for vehicle placement as well as spotting since thats the lowest point on the truck.

my rear bilsteins 5100s, which I believe you also have, lasted less than 20k miles. I'm happy with the ironman foam cell pro that the group recommended.

I have to have digressive shocks with the cross winds i drive in. My first set lasted 50k.

I did get my truck on an RTI ramp in April and it score a 528. I guessed 550.

Unfortunately I did not get any pictures of my truck on it. I was overshadowed by some crazy built trucks hitting 750-800.

Also RTIs do not factor in track width so wider track width vehicles have an advantage thats not compensated for.

Truck is good. Has new oem CVJs up front along with a mostly new front suspension.

The rear now needs to be rebuilt and I am leaning toward replacing the housing as the rear has not been right since I let John's touch it.

I am considering upgrading or potentially just getting one from ebay and rebuilding it myself and then swapping it out. I can have a shop press the bearings and seals onto the axles for me.

I have the most capable vehicle in my offeoad group that doesnt have lockers and I am able to do the same lines as many of the heavier built Rubicons, much to their chagrin.

AND you're doing it in comfort!!! I always tease my Jeep friends in our club about that when it's stupid hot or cold while on a trail.
