I talked to coastal offroad before black friday and it looks like the new extreme clearance bumper can be ordered with dual swingouts. They just don't have pics yet
I like all things Coastal, with the exception or their swing outs. Nothing structural, I just don’t like it. Dual threaded heims and a good latch work fine but aesthetically I’m not a fan, I prefer the dual shear style single pivot, offering locked open positions.

I don't have one but I think I would agree with that. Locking open is really important IMO

I have the standard Coastal Offroad bumper paired with the 4xInnovations swingout (with an added 2" receiver for the bike rack). It is very stable even though I don't have a strike plate installed, even with 2 mountain bikes and the 34" spare hanging on the back. Just the latch and double sheer hinge hold it in place. I see no reason that would stop you from mounting the swingout the same way as me for the new ultra high clearance bumper as long as there is enough real estate on the rear plate of the bumper for the hinge.

Sadly the GX470 BI / LED retrofit did not go as planned. The "kit" includes s2 sets of 3" Bi/ LED projectors, wiring, and brackets. It seems simple enough, but some instruction would have made it easier. There is no hardware and depending on how you go about it you will need about 2 dozen M4 nut, bolt, and washer setups. According to BX Built, the bracket needs to be modified but no information as to how and where. I used the following sites for guidance.

The 3" led projector bracket does not line up with all 6 holes on the bracket. Clearly, this bracket was designed for an older project or the foot print of the somewhat universal projectors has changed.

The lens holder screws contact the bracket on both side, the metal must be removed from the bracket or shorter m4's used.

Bottom holes were enlarged and metal was shaved from the areas of contact.

NJGX, yes there looks to be plenty of real estate to weld to on the high-clearance version. Adding a 2" for a bike rack as well because oh it sucks without it. I would like to see a few more photos if possible of how you setup the locking pin mechanism.

I repeated the process on all 4 mounts, enlarging holes and shaving metal in the contact areas.

When I tried to mount the loaded bracket I noticed the center pivot did not slide through the hole provided. More trimming......

Much better.

Wait, what the heck is going on here? Blue tape on the door is roughly 46" from the deck, and 52" apart from center to center.

I checked and rechecked, the adjustment ran out and this was a best-case scenario. What the actual DUCK! I went for a test drive, I could see 20' in front of the GX. I knew from the beginning the projectors would not be on the same horizontal plane on their respective sides (DS PS). The DS was exactly how it should look, the PS side, I am not sure. Maybe I tweaked the bracket but...... nope I got nothing.

So I did what anyone would do, I sat to have a think. I tried shimming, I tried talking sweet, I made sure it was mounted to the vehicle correctly. In the end nothing seemed to help, if you look at the above photo you will see the bracket mounted in the housing has a 5 degree +/- cant to it, and I believe that is because of the alignment of the center pivot. I came to the conclusion this was just not going to work, at least not like this. So on to phase 2. Engage FULL SEND>>>>>>

I just couldn’t stop the footprint was too similar to not try and make it work.

Lastly was the sealing of the housing. No one seems to have covered this and it wasn’t covered in the BX built instructions. I opted for a larger that seal diameter piece of Tyvek with an x cut for the passthrough of the projector stem, and seal with RTV (did not have clear silicone on hand).

I really just followed the direction provided by 4x Innovations. Very simple and quick install. Cut the arm to length, weld in the hinge plate on the passenger side, notch the drivers side of the bumper to accept the bar stock to catch the latch, then weld the latch plate on. You can even buy the hinge and latch sides independently if you want too.

So it is as easy as the instructions read, amazing. I pulled the trigger 12/2 just waiting on my 3-4 week lead time. I look forward to using their swing out.

I ordered and was waiting on the dual high beam splitter.

Hi beams, doubled up, and I just realized I forgot a head on shot.

While bright, the factory HB’s are useless unless you are squirrel/ turkey spotting. I assume it is because the plane the LED projectors are on dialed/ tuned is different than that of the OE HB’s.
