2003 LX470 ECU Swap

Hey,
Was given an 03 LX470 that's cranking and not starting. I was told that it was an ECM/ECU problem, but I don't think the owner has the original ECM/ECU. Could I just buy one and do the 4/13 pin bypass or is it more nuanced than that. Thank you!

What is the immobilizer light doing when you turn the key to ON?

So the ECU was swapped? Do you know why?

Are you getting any error codes?
