Events/Trails 2000 Miles To Nowhere

Tomorrow I start a 2 week adventure in my 1997 FZJ80. Final destination is the Land Cruiser Heritage Museum in Salt Lake City, but for the most part we will be wondering around Utah. My wife is flying into Moab on Sunday.

I left jacksonville around 1pm and ended up staying at a random private campsite in the Talladega National Forest at a place called Parkland Retread.

I pulled up about 45 after dark and I was greeted by a big hairy viking in his birthday suite.

Yes, it is clothing optional! Not my style but whatever flips your hair back. Basically a commune that supports itself with campers.

I was a little gun shy so I ended up staying in motels night 2 in Wichita and night 3 just outside Grand junction.

Fun drive but the trip really stats today.

I am going to take UT-128 into Moab this morning.

First Trail: Gemini Bridges

Yesterday we hit Fins and Things. Beautiful trail that covers a bunch of large exposed boulders or “fins”. Only Modification was to move the spare tire to the way back, on top of the RatPack box.
