What was the method? Time? Looks great!
My process is hot water rinse, spray on a degreaser, let sit for 5-10 minutes, scrub with detailing brushes/paint brushes to loosen and lift grime, hot water rinse, blower to dry and blow out water, micro-fiber towel to dry. I then use AMMO NYC Mud Tire Gel to dress everything. I can knock out an engine detail in 20 minutes...30 if I'm really taking my time. And I've been using this method for years. Never had an issue across multiple vehicles.

My engine detail method:
1. Warm engine. Not hot.
2. Spray Simple Green diluted 50:50 with water.
3. Let it set for a few minutes, but not dry.
4. Agitate with detail brushes. Mist water to keep the suds going. Different size brush for different crevices.
5. Rinse with water. Garden hose, not high pressure washer.
6. Either let it dry naturally or blow dry with a leaf blower. Typically, I'll wash the engine at the end of washing the vehicle. Then detail engine after finish drying vehicle.
7. Spray tire foam liberally. Tire foam is my friend.
8. Let tire foam dry.
9. Wipe off excess tire foam.

Looks great. I'm assuming you pull or disconnect the battery? I'm guilty of never actually washing my engine bay 😅

Nothing but simple green and a hose and a rag. 15 minutes tops:

Shop ordered the wrong set of Method wheels for my 200, but here they are installed! 17x8.5 305 +0 offset in bronze. Should have been 703's in the +35 offset so I'll post updated pics with the correct set once they are installed

This is confusing. Toyota badge. LX tail lights and hatch, with a sticker that says in an LX?
Just need a Hybrid Synergy and TRD Pro badge and you’d really f*** with people.
sorta like this?
people have come up to ask me in parking lots about my “hybrid” LC200.

I didn't realize there were other Volvo enthusiasts here! ✊ Here's my 98 V70 T5 manual with an RN swap. I could certainly use some lessons in detailing!

Gears and lockers are all that's left on her pretty much. Overkill for what is meant to be a mild wheeler/tow pig now?

+35 270s don’t poke.
Sorry, but poke isn’t the right word. They are still tucked into the wheel wells. Which is fine. But can’t call that “poke.”

@grinchy those wheels/tires look sick on your truck. Nice work!
