Prerunner LC200:

Forgot to post about the limit strap removal that I did last month. Since it yielded significant gains on wheel travel surprisingly.

Since I have removed the front differential, I do not have to worry about the CV Angles anymore, so no need for a limit strap. The rebound damping is pretty heavy right now so no need to worry about the shock getting damaged from top outs.

Removing the cam burg limit strap increased down travel by 1.75 inches. That's a 12.5% increase in wheel travel just by removing two screws!

You can also see how much of a change it made:

Left Side with limit strap, right side without limit strap.

A couple questions if I could:
  • Are you running the center diff locked all the time, or have you swapped your transfer case to a non full time 4wd case?
  • Do you happen to know the total travel you were getting while still running the front differential / axles? Often times the advertised travel vs actual are a bit different and I am curious what the kit actually gives.
  • Any chance of getting whomever made you those fenders to make more?
Thanks, great work on the it !

Yes, since I did not change the transfer case. I have to run with the center diff locked all the time or else it wont move

Before I removed the front differential, when it was stock 4WD. I had around 13-14 inches of wheel travel, the extended total chaos axels were maxed out at that travel.

*However I still have to ensure that it is cycling the full uptravel before hitting the factory bumpstops. I need to do some work on that, put it up on a jack, unbolt the coilover and cycle the wheel travel to ensure it is using every bit.

The fenders were made my a local store here in Qatar, called Offload store. I am not sure if he made them himself or relied on another workshop or body shop. I would have to ask him to get the details.

Thank you very much for the reply, that is very helpful for me as I will be staying 4wd but couldnt decide if I wanted to simply go with the tundra arms or do a full TC long travel kit.

Considering I believe I can get 12" of travel out of the tundra arms it is probably not worth the extra $ for another 1" or so of travel.

Again, great looking truck, I love seeing it in the air!

Anytime !, Thank you for the kind words. Good luck with your project.

Where did you go, @liv2bike ? Were you on the east side of the valley? I haven’t explored nearly enough up there and always had just gone up near Togwotee. Looks like the Grand still has quite a bit of snow. And to keep it in the spirit of the thread... more pics of the Tetons and Cruisers!

@mooneywa we were on the elk refuge. Then went up to Curtis Canyon Overlook and the campground. There were some closed roads that we couldn’t access but that may change soon.

Does anyone have any information on this bumper?

@ckkone is on it already, but yes he and @Just a Ninja are correct it’s a Rhino 4x4. It took a while to get here and was a decent amount of work to get it mounted and painted (body shop painted it), but it was totally worth it. I think it’s the best looking bumper for the 200, and I’m not biased at all.

Hopefully

Whoa... I'm new to LCs so wow... very nice looking rig. Hopefully soon enough I'd love to modify my rig similar to yours. Can I ask what kind of lift/tire set up do you have ? I love the stock wheels so that makes it look even better.

Thank you for the info and photo. Looks amazing. Did you retain full functionality of all the factory sensors, cameras, etc?
