OK...my LC is just out of this photo...but gonna post this one anyway as a bookend to a great 2 1/2 week Cruiser trip... Moab...Telluride/Ouray...Breck...and this...just a bit ago...on the way home through a smoky Utah sky at sunset...

did you use crawl control to climb the gate?

You shouldnt use crawl control to do the gate. Power Braking is a better technique and helps you feel as you are moving and better control the speed. That is my opinion.

I’m with Romer.
I would never use crawl to do Hell’s G because traction isn’t the issue. Crawl control keeps a constant speed, and speed should be determined by whether your spotter is ready with a path to follow without stopping. Small corrections can be essential with stops and starts, or even backing a bit to a better line. In two cases this trip, stopping was super important to say the least. Pretty sure crawl control is NOT aware of angle—just traction. And if so...at least one truck (maybe two) could have crawled their way to a roll backward... :confused:

PS. I’m no Hell’s Gate expert. Just someone who has done it twice—Once with a horrible line, and another with a decent one—including a critical correction near the top.

ARB sahara without the hoop
 
@steenh what kind of bumper is that you have TIA

Willy has it right. Never liked the hoop on the ARB's and when I installed the bumper years ago, there weren't many options... and I got the bumper for close to free. I do like it, and on my 100, had a hoop free TJM.

I don’t like the full bull bar bumpers and was thinking a Sahara like yours with no bar or a dobinson thanx for the reply.
