Yes it is. They have just enough "crooks" trying to get something for nothing that it has made them skeptical of shoppers.
Last weekend a guy got snarky when they wouldn't sell a NIB set of lifters for $40.0 that sell for 209.00 today.
A few weeks ago I had to ask a guy to leave because he got down right shi___y when they wouldn't sell a new Edelbrock carb for $75.00
Earlybon we had a guy pay $500.00 for a set of wheels and tires. Rolling them out he saw a brand new set of BFG 33/1250s on new aluminum bullet hole wheels. He wanted those for the same price. He was told no. The next day he came back demanding they give him the BFGs because the other tires were old and "wouldn't hold air' . Wouldn't take his money back. Told them he would call the cops they were crooks yada yada. He left with a 16-1800 set of wheels and tires laughing.SOB
So now... unfortunately they expect everyone to be out to screw them over.
Shouldn't have to be that way.

That sucks, Tom. Absolutely horrible. Hope that guy gets some nice slashes in the sidewalls, or at bare minimum, have the schrader valves removed from the valvestems on those tires.

Sorry that pieces of crap have taken advantage of them!! I hope karma catches up to those crooks soon.

Reason #1 why you don't let the public pick up stuff you sell on craigslist at your house. Sucks that it happened, but that's why you're supposed to meet them out somewhere in a well-lit area.
