Hi All On my other threads conversation is getting away from topic so I am starting a new thread. I have had an adapter built to use a Ford 6R80 behind my 1FZ using stock transfer case. I will post about that here, and also info on different transmission controllers available for the swap...

There is now a controller for the 10 speed. Too late for my build this time but will do next. Controller is

Here is a list of supported transmissions.
I think I will still wait and see if US Shift comes out with one as they seem simpler

TurboLamik has had an 8HP TCU out for a while now. That pretty much dominates the 8HP swap scene and thousands have been sold. Interesting that Lamik is out of Poland, and this HTG unit is also out of Poland. Is Poland the center of TCU swap universe?

I would be very interested in the transmission adapters if they work with the 10 speed. Have been researching swapping a ZF 8HP70 into my J80. Nothing available in the way of adapters, currently. There are several stand alone controllers available for swapping the 8HP. Also, a shop in Australia just did a video series on swapping an 8HP70 into a built 79 series Land Cruiser. This was behind a V8, not the 1FZ-FE. They developed adapters in house for that swap and used a TurboLamik trans controller.

I'm casually interested, not in a good buying position right now as I'm just finishing up a 10k paint job and resto on my bmer while also starting a company..... But having a 6R80 would be sweet.

What does the transfer case situation look like? could I run my HF2AV Tcase? do the dimensions of the 6r80 fit in the factory tunnel?
