Been dragging my feet on listing, but it is time to rehome our 1997 LC. I bought this one for my wife a few years ago because she loved the color combo, and we have gotten great use from it. It has been a southern truck all its life so it is rust free and in fantastic condition. I bought it with a bad head gasket and built it with the intention of us hanging on to it for a long while, but our recent motorhome purchase has necessitated the need to let this go to a new family. List of repairs below, and please reach out with any questions not covered.
Chassis has 359k on clock
Asking $13K OBO
Repair list, all repairs are OE parts unless specified
head gasket ( head decked and built)
all cooling hoses
radiator
timing chain and guides
rebuilt rear diff
replaced viscous coupler
replaced tcase bearings
replaced front and rear driveshafts
replaced springs shocks (OME stock height, rear was sagging a little)
replaced heater core
paint correction for clear coat fading on fender flares
replaced steering box (lares remanufactured)
replaced power steering pump
replaced catalytic converter (aftermarket generic)
Known issues:
could use tires. They have plenty of tread just older and are hard on cold mornings
left front axle seal is weeping
known oil leak from oil level sender, very small and just havent messed with changing it
exhaust heat shield has a very light rattle about 2800rpms. Once again, never took time to chase it down.
I am trying to remember all of the work done, and i am sure i am missing something. I have driven this truck from Alabama to DC numerous times with no issues. I attached a few photos for attention but have more on the below google photo link:
