Yes, the Rosens bolt right up.

Nice visors. I use these visors at work. If the sun is directly in my face, I use some small clamps/clips to attach a map or checklist to the visor. Blocks the sun completely.

Do the Rosen’s bolt right up? Any modifications needed?
@Road Apple easy install - they bolt up to existing holes. This is my fourth set if you count the pair in my plane. Great addition.

Thanks. I ordered a set. We have these on the company B737 also. Will be nice to have an aviation connection in the truck.

Well, haven't researched a project like this in quite awhile....

John has me plugging away at getting the parts Ian needs for the 80....

316 individual part numbers later....

And I'm done. For now, I'm sure...

Over 500 part numbers ordered today between this truck and the 45 engine needs. :)

That is probably the bulk of it. There will be more I am sure as we tear into it but we got most things covered. This Cruiser is in very good condition so it doesn't need a lot replaced. Just somethings are missing and some things I like to change after 23yrs.

It is great to work with you on this @Onur

Cheers

Yeah man. Gonna be a good project.

The interior is getting removed this week for some cleaning and to make things easier for wiring. Ordered Ian 120 sq ft of Second Skin Damplifier Pro sound deadening mats. I used some of this stuff before and really liked the results.

Used Damplifier Pro in our's a few years back and couldn't agree more with the results. After cutting the roof out and installing the Campteq NVH amplified substantially. Just finished spraying the interior top with Spectrum and its now just as quiet as it was with no roof rack. Don't hesitate to give Second Skin a second thought and follow Jim's lead.

@jmlockwood

Are you doing sound deadening in all doors as well as floor boards? @SNLC would you show us the install and what/where all you do the sound deadening? I’d like to see how this is done. I’ve been interested in doing this to mine but want to see how the pros do it first. :-)

Is the second skin spendy or not so much?

I’m

I’m not sure I follow. You did not like Second Skin?

@Workhorse its not cheap. I think it’s always “on sale.” But it’s still around $5 per sq foot. I am sure @SNLC will show us how it’s done!

Little sleep last night, not by choice... Was trying to say you made a good choice in use their product and others would be wise to give it a try.

Maybe this sounds better:

Second Skin works extremely well. It turned the 80 from the typical hollow sounding 90s Toyota to a solid current day luxury vehicle. It is especially noticeable in the doors.

When we cut the roof & glued the Campteq to the Landcruiser the road noise came back. We're not using a foam mattress so that may play a big part in the NVH. Plus, the roof of the Campteq is 1/8 aluminum which resonates well. I used Second Skin's Spectrum to coat it with great results.

Last one I did.

I got another video when it was all done with the stereo cranking but that video is on FB.

Cheers
