No mention was made about the oil pan so I assume no interference issue is foreseen?

Kept the ls1 pan on it. That is the best pan to use.

Motor is in and mounted. Next step is ac and PS lines, shifters ect

Can you change spark plugs and other MP's without removing the motor?

You are able to do all maintenance on the motor with ease. Even the pesky heater hose, oh there isn't one! :).

I drove couple of Silverado trucks with the 5.3 engines and that engine looks rather small in the engine bay. Its a very compact engine seemingly.

There is quite a bit of room.. I will post more photos next week as the work gets done. I have to work my other 2 jobs next 4 days :/

So here is an update:

Toyota harness removed and ready for integration.

All fluid plumbing is completed

I am too cheap to drive way out there on the weekend:D .... PM me your weekday schedule and I will stop by after work one day.

Drooool :) this thing is awesome. Seems to be going very smoothly. I'm hoping that by the time my 1FZ dies I will be component enough to try something like this....or will be done with school and have enough money saved up to pay someone else to do it haha. How much do you reckon a shop would charge to do this conversion if I supplied the motor and tranny? Keep the updates coming!

Wow! My previous car was a 2000 z28. Absolutely bulletproof motors. I had a 150 shot running on a completely stock bottom end and it never even flinched! Good luck and have fun
