Yes I did know that the sub tank used a valve. the problem is i don't have the complete assy. and don't want to run my diesel dry trying to pull from a dry tank.did you know that factory diesel 80 sub tank setup did not use any transfer pump ? just a solenoid to swap from the front tank to the sub tank ..
Jason,Looking good man. I'm in town too, would love to come check it out! Shoot me a PM if you like.
Yep pretty sure 94 as Seldon brought the truck half over. I will look into it it could be that it is setup like a 94 with the TPS etc.engine Number is 1HD 00014310
This engine no should be around 91. You sure that is 94???![]()

IIRC I have done 6x FZJ/FJ80s myself.. #7 starting this month.. and throw in about 4x J80 conversions that I have worked on indirectly. I am still learning though, every conversion I learn something new or figure out some better cleaner way to do something. Some new ground will be broken on this conversion as Terry will be swapping in the Electronic A442F which uses a stand alone ECT computer in place of the A343F which uses the post 95 type Integrated Engine/Tranny ECU. So we'll be working together to sort that out. It should really open up some options for the folks with post 95s

Are there any factory diesel 80s in US or CAN?
Seems like everybody is thumb up going with this swap. Why? Isn't 1FZ is a good reputation engine? or is thirsty?

My mechanic here ( Auto Tech Engine Brake Inc. ) has a large shop with 5 bays, three lifts and I have never had to wait for parts with him. Toyota Canada, generally, is uninterested in supporting them to the point of being somewhat rude- in my experience. Synopsis: Parts here are no problem and no more dear than NA stuff.
