Its amazing the improvement in mileage between a gasser and a diesel in low range and slow trails the diesels just sip the fuel the 1fz is like a like a Alcoholic in a bar on $2 pint night..

and about electronics on FT .. unfortunately for us we never get many FT around here .. ( again marketing wise local dealer and profits are the key on this ) but the few we had were just as plain as any 1HD-T we have ..

Just an 12V to the cutout IP solenoid, 12V to the starter and you have a running engine ..

Sorry confused I was comparing a 1HD-T to a 1FZ-FE in off road conditions. :confused:

my comments were related to the Beno commends about FT engines ..
 
To clear up the engine mystery, that engine is out of a 92 HDJ81 5spd. I played mix and match, the 5spd and part time case went on the back of my 1HD-FT.. and the A442F off my 1HD-FT went on the back of the 1HD-T. I added the later harness, Auto tranny linkage, TPS provisions etc (The TPS is there just not installed yet)
Also.. sorry to rain on the parade.. the Tcase is an HF2A (Full time, non Viscous coupled) NOT an HF1A part time.

Hi Sheldon, sorry for bring back to life this old thread ;). But I need help and little curious about where you placed or attached the TPS on the 1HD-T?

My problem it's about I bought a factory LHD HDJ80L-GNPEX 1993 model fully load with manuals hubs and A442F transmission with O/D button, the problem is the original engine 1HD-T was blew out by one of the previous owners and was put a 12HT engine on place by one of them paired with OEM A442F electronic transmission they put a throttle to the engine to get working the TPS. I have plans to put the truck to factory spec dropping on it a 1HD-T because on my country DR we don't have many of this engine(12HT) around it but I looking for where the TPS will be placed or attached on the 1HD-T.

I have a lot of manuals but i can't figure out where it be placed.

TPS mounts on top of the injection pump, the arm is specific and there is also a mounting bracket.
