Below are the following maintenance jobs I’ve done to keep this truck running. Every single part was replaced with OEM Toyota parts shipped from the United Arab Emirates via Partsouq.
- Timing belt @ 348k km
- All front engine seals @ 348k km
- Glow plugs @ 350k km
- New Interstate battery @ 345k km
- Oil changes every 6k km
- ECU inspected for leaking capacitors (very common for this era of vehicle) @ 352k km
- Fuel filter priming cap @ 354k km
- Brake pads and rotors from Trail Tamer @ 320k km
- AMC head (Stock 1KZ-TE engines lack sufficient coolant passages and commonly warp/crack from overheating. This AMC head is the best upgrade possible and solves all cooling issues)
The only thing this truck could maybe need is a new steering wheel, as the aftermarket one's leather has seen better days, but that's a simple cosmetic fix. Miles will continue to accumulate as this is my daily driver and I commute to work from Aurora to Denver daily. The odometer and speedometer are in Km, not miles.
