This kicks arse. I want to do this conversion on my Tacoma when the OEM motor wears out - which I'm beginning to think will never happen!

I, for one, am not in the least shocked to hear this. Toyota turbo diesels are AWESOME.

Hahah, I have to remind myself that it is only temporary, driving the 4runner. My truck SHOULD be done within the next two months, which means I'll be pushing to sell this when my truck is completed.

As far as MPG the solid figure I have: 23/24mpg city(no matter how much i put my foot in it, i've never gotten less than 20), and 28/29 mpg highway, I did manage a tank where I got 31 but this was all highway and never went above 70mph.

Bomar, what type of mileage are you seeing out of your 1kzte DD, also what tire size and gearing, auto or manual?


I just added a set of fj cruiser take off wheels and tires from a local seller, the wheels really make the 4runner look amazing! I'll have to take a couple pictures today when I get back to the house.
