The truck is cleaner in person trust me. I took the 4runner to the local toyota dealership today and after about 5 minutes had 2 head mechanics leaning over the engine oogling and asking questions for about 30 minutes
. I even got a free 4runner keychain out of it, I needed to get a new key cut.
Bomar, sounds great! I remember stumbling across the for sale ad when you purchased your conversion. Have you got an intercooler on it at all? I may put one on this 4runner before it gets sold, I'm still debating it. Right now it has the g254 code on the inner door panel which means it has the 8 in with 4.56 gearing which is what it should be with the 31s. Though I have read on the toyotadiesel site of guys running as low as 3.73 with the 5spds. Right now, compared to the 1kzte in my truck, this gearing makes the engine feel much more smooth, keeps the revs really respectable on the highway and still has gobs of power and torque.
