Its acceptable to get this type of service here...and when u look at its cost of around 40US $ including the ac gas and oil etc...most people would just do the ac system with this guy and then go to another for wiring

Any updates Moe? I love watching your progress.

Forgot to mention. ...their elec guy tapped into almost every wire on my fuse box....keep in mind I did prepare AND label the fuses they should take from

hi there....been a while. Father had a minor stroke and we were busy with travel to Cairo and intensive care etc, as we have very poor medical care here in Sudan (even in high end hospitals).

Will continue within this week hopefully.....and thanx for asking

Hope your father recovers swiftly. Great thread

So sorry to hear about your father and I hope he recovers fully. I've (we've) enjoyed your build and hope that you get some relaxing time to work on her soon. Blessing to you and your family

Thank u guys so much...he is much better and they will be back this friday hopefully.
Bless u all and your encouragement is what has kept me going

closing up my wiring using bicycle inner tubes.....wrapped the wires in the AWESOME electrical tape @scottryana and @Boltripper sent....then wrapped them up with the inner tubes (to protect them from rubbing against any metal or sharp edges.... dont have zip ties, so just using bailing wire or tape.

did some work on the dashboard....i previously sanded it down ..applied some industrial adhesive and put on a layer of spongy type material (to remove the majority of bumps left over and then covered that with strong vinyl with a leathery type of imprint....not the most professional finish...but hey...i want to drive this baby.

images later tonight

just wanted to add that the tubing thing was for wires inside the dash only

still need to wrap my ac pipes in some sort of insulator to protect them from all the vibrations and rubbing against the body.

today i hope to finish doing the tough parts of the interior...under dash....below floor insulator..etc....will just wrap the door wiring all the way to the grommets and a little extra...will also mount my dome lights (but not the door courtesy ones)..

unfortunately my sunroof still leaks...so interior will have to be delayed till i find those small plastic things or an alternative solution...as rain season is VERY close...i will just apply a small amount of silicon to seal it up for now.

Then i will start doing the door panels....the panel part at least and then apply that plastic 'skin' that prevents water and dust coming into the cabin.

Wow. I just spent about an hour reading through this entire thread. I can't say I've read a full 26-page thread before, but I'm glad I did - you are one dedicated guy! What you've accomplished with what you have to work with in such a short amount of time is truly impressive. My hat is off to you, sir.

If you need any misc. supplies from the US please make a list and PM me. I've got lots of zip ties! And I may actually have an unused Blue Sea fuse panel in the garage. I'm more than happy to send stuff over. Might even talk to my friend who owns a Landcruiser shop here and see if we can't get you a motivational project item of some sort too. :)

Keep on it!

@SeattleFJs....its awesome how the 80 series and mud has got me to meet such great people like yourself. Thank you so much for your offer...will keep it in mind if I find myself in a knot at any stage...thanks again

@half k cruiser. .. I too am loving how clean my hood looks now....the ac lines I found a bunch of sponge tubes that they use to insulate office ac piping...will wrap and either tape or bail wire them around my lines
