80 Series Stainless Exhaust

I've been working on an 80 series exhaust kit over the last few months. I've been posting about it in the 80 section but now that it's done it's probably time for it's own thread. It's 2.5" 14 gauge 304 stainless with a Solo Performance Stealth muffler. The muffler keeps it nice and quiet but...

Digging into my stash to see what else I have for interior.

I have been stock piling this stuff for more than a year. I got drivers seat cushion too. Not sure how much I will install of all this right now because I am still going to do some sound deadening, stereo stuff, aux wiring at the back of my Cruiser, ect ect. My windows are slooooow right now though so going to toss in the runs and some of these other goodies now.

As you can probably tell, I like to get my Cruiser mechanically sound, outside and inside refreshed too before starting in on the upgrades and mods.

Nice! This was the first major project I did on mine. Desert heat wasn’t nice on my rubbers. Well worth the time to properly seal up the truck.

I have not seen one with original window runs in over 15yrs that doesn’t need that at the minimum.

My truck comes from Washington. The runs are packed with funk and also hard as a rock. The rest I am doing because it’s original and well, we can still get these parts from Toyota. How much longer who knows, I been in the game long enough though to have seen 60/62 parts disappear.

Had fun last weekend wheeling with our local Land Cruiser Club.

The 80 killed it but ih8mud and I did rip my RHS rear bumper side cap pretty good.

MetalTech raw sliders in hand, SLEE belly skid and HD tie rod/drag link in route. Got my Specter TuffDuck seat covers and still got to finish the rubber refresh on the body.

ALL suspension bushings need doing, they are showing their age.

Just the SLEE HD, I bent the tie rod ever so slightly on its first off road trip.

Just about 3,000 miles on the new engine now.

Not a single leak anywhere or problem. No more p0420 codes since the new y-pipe, cat and cat back.

All is well.
