hehe...thats what I keep telling myself ::)Before long I am going to have to buy a 62

See that is were we seem to differ in what we like. You see a truck from NM with body damage, 145k on the odometer, recovered front seats and needing a paint job as a good deal. While a truck up here with 118k, straight and clean as a rust bucket and never would consider buying it. You guys definately have a rust phobia thing going on.

I honestly wouldn't pick that truck in NM over what is available here.

Keep in mind (I didn't and am paying for it) that a truck in the desert that is not REALLY well cared for will have many many many many (MANY!) rubber issues.

I have replaced most of the rubber on mine since bringing it to the SE from the SW due to the moisture destroying the weakened, cracked rubber...

Master cylinder grommets...booster, tranny gasket...etc, etc, etc....

Good luck finding one!

Rick,

Let me re-define the damage. A door ding, one broken flare clip(flare ok) and a bent corner on the lower tail gate. Not a perfect truck but a solid base. The paint is not perfect, 6M1 does not seem to hold up too well after about 10 years in the desert sun, the clearcoat starts to fail on the roof and hood. Besides if it's not a "puff" it doesn't hurt as bad when you kiss a big old rock :D . (same goes if it's a bit rusty).
