Some door cards had pulled through at door clip locations.

It is particle board, it’s damage consists of fibres that can be saturated with epoxy resin, on a hot day preferably.

The epoxy saturates the fibers. Then 2 layers of cloth, cover with sheet plastic and 2 sheet metal plates to flatten and compress the fibers while epoxy cures.

Once that is complete you can use a new blade in a utility knife to cut the holes out, or drill if your good and steady as the fabric is only 1/8” away!

Eliminated one more coolant hose and 2 points of failure by going to the OBD2 coolant pipe.

View attachment 3346742thanks for that tip. i'd heard of saturating with model glue, but not the fabric.

Deep clean carried out for winter. Flares got damaged on last trip so I removed them for winter and there was a shocking amount of mud under there!

Now I’m on the hunt for plugs for the holes as I think I’m going to leave the flares off, I like the flareless look!

So if anybody knows of plugs that fit please speak up🍻

OEM mudflaps are still available from Toyota for flareless 80’s, only $50 a piece also!

This was the trail that claimed 4 flares, 4 mudflaps and a front fender.

The destination was worth it though!

Those will be nice… you do some interesting work/modifications. Have you progressed with the engine wire harness build project?

Sadly no, but it’s on the list. Finally an empty nester 😅

But I’m also busy on this for the next year…

This am….., poor man’s autoclave 😂

1 layer Kevlar and 6 layers of E-glass

Next step is trimming after cure then back in D pillar for locating holes then drill to locate nutserts in bracket.

There will be 6 M6 bolts for mounting then 4 M8 to mount step.

Thinking about building a folding step🤷‍♂️
