More parts came in...

Dual batteries plus mount
30" Light bar and 4" reverse lights
Light switches
Radiator
Throttle body
Other miscellaneous parts for the exhaust and smog compliance

The headers are getting ceramic coated and we're waiting for the new computer to arrive from painless wiring...

Looking really good! A couple more weeks and we will be burning rubber :)

The batteries will take the same ammount of room as a single battery... and they are very capable.
I am very happy with them :)

If you guys would like to get pricing on any of these parts; you can contact Mike at Steel Nutz. His direct number is (562) 254-7505.

Just let him know that you're a member of ih8mud and that you're following the build and he will provide you special pricing...

Inlet and outlets. Need to be set up differently to be a direct bolt in for the 1fz hose configuration. Also on 93-97 80's filler neck has to be on the passenger side. He did get the mounting system down though. Sweet radiators for the price.

I know they are currently working on getting some stock TLCs to build the radiators based on the stock location... the mounting on mine will be a bit different...

Just got some accessories from the local 4WD Parts:

Roto Pack 2 gallon gas tank
Roto Pack 2 gallon water tank
Fire extinguisher and mount

I looked at the 3 gallon tanks, but they are a bit to big for me... I also ordered mounts for them...

Well gents, my batteries are installed and so is the radiator... (nevermind the dirt and grime please).

There is a lot of room still and we are waiting on the computer to finish the electrical part...

Very satisfied with the progress...

I will post more pictures tomorrow.

Guys, I checked with Mike from Steel Nutz and he provided the following prices for the dual battery set up:

Odyssey 925 battery's are $180 each total $360 for 2 -custom bracket $275
The custom bracket bolts right in the stock battery location, so it fits any FJ80/FZJ80

The custom aluminum radiator with fans and shroud is $850 - custom aluminum radiator mount $250.

This setup is for FJ80/ FZJ80 with the LS/LQ9 swaps. Mike said that the ones for the stock LCs will be available soon, and installation is available.

If interested, you can contact him at:

More closeups of the radiator and batery mounts...
The radiator mounts also fit the stock mounting location; the difference is going to be the radiator it self. They will have some available very soon.

Good time to clean under hood, better time before engine went in, beautiful installation! I hate headers, is there a stock exhaust manifold that would fit?
Yes sir, the engine is coming back out to clean up and cut the old motor mounts off...

The ECU is finally here! Painless Wiring took their time reprogramming this one, but seems like it'll work great...

Should be going in Monday...

So much stuff left to do... but we're getting closer

Engine and transmission out for the last time!

A good clean up of the engine bay was completed, the guys cut off the old motor mounts, repainted the frame, and put the engine and transmission back in for good...

Now to the wiring, fix the a/c, and complete the exhaust...

Have a bunch of other little projects that I will complete once the shop is done.

Here are some pics of the engine bay...

Hi,

Just got done shopping for some 2.5" pipe, some "U" bents, gaskets, and a Magnaflow exhaust manifold... the end tip is going to be a black 5" Magnaflow, and it will run just behing the passnger side rear tire... out of view pretty much...

We also have the Catalytic coverters, and the old exhaust is out...

There is a small issue with the clearance of the transmission oil pan and the drive shaft. The guys are going to cut the pan and fit it properly...

We think that the engine should be ready to be fired up on Wednesday. Still have to powder coat the headers and paint the exhaust pipes.

Looking good :)

Here is the current clearance of the oil pan...

The headers worked perfect though... also a shot of the mounts we're using.
