Point one, the daily beer deliveries shall start soon after Charles receives the truck.

Point two, @beno must know something about my finances that I don't. In process of buying a house then sinking another metricshitton of dough in additional work. Bank accounts will likely be empty in 6.875 months when he's ready to sell.

There will be a line through your BJ74 in your sig.

It will be replaced with a HZJ77.

:)

nice truck, but prefer the looks with mirror on doors

Remember to change the timing belt soon
The fender mounted mirrors are one of many things I like about the Cruiser.
The timing belt and water pump were just changed. :)

Get rid of that thing and all of the electricals immediately. I hope the install wasn't a damn hack job.
It will be gone soon after delivery. I've had other Cruisers that had them and non survived past a couple of weeks.

I see this lasting maybe 6 months to a year before Charles flips it .....

@elkaholic will be there to purchase this ASAP.
Ye of little faith .......
Every Cruiser that I have bought, starting with my first BJ42, I bought with the intentions to keep forever. However for reasons I can't really explain, 5 minutes after they hit the garage, I start looking for something better or more unique.
I honestly think that the HJ75 and HZJ77 are about as good as I can do and am confident they are here to stay.

Turbo timer. Keeps the engine running for a preset amount of time after you shut off the ignition... to cool down the turbo.
However in this case there is no turbo ...... YET.

Hey buddy, wanna buy a BJ74?

Back on topic, very nice truck Charles. Any chance that box is a trailer brake controller?

Sam, Until it shows up in a week or so, I honestly don't know. I'll have "my guy" figure it out. : )

That's what I was thinking. After delivery, I'd check for signs of a previous install... just to know.

The consensus is that the device is not associated with a current or previous turbo installation.

Based on this photo, I assume Japan's version of the 7Eleven store sells "Big Gulps" in square cups. :)

Some folks go to quite a bit of effort to get a cup holder...even a square one!
A PBR wouldn't fit without some modifications.

I enjoyed all the additional photos! Very pristine truck.

Few comments. Interesting it comes with the 15x7" version wheels. I thought that vintage came with 16x6"... Are you going to miss the split rear seats that your Prado had (and third row)? I have to admit, the LJ78 has fancier seats/interior than the HZJ77. I love the dual e-locker setup you have. I have a rear e-locker, but will eventually put in a front. Thanks to your picture now I know how to drill out the front diff in the instrument cluster picture for a second red LED. :hillbilly: Fourth, I recommend 255/85R16 with a mild soft lift. :hmm:

Have lots of fun with it!

I think the 15x7 are standard on the HZJ77 for whatever reason. Mine were the same until I switched to a 16x8 rim. The rear seat is a nuisance but rear prado seats bolt right in. This is what I did. 255/85R16 FTW

Looks clean and pristine. What's your plans for it?
