OK, Tech Post response:

2 - Yes, total voltage conversion from 24 to 12. I bought a complete harness from @Shes Mad (thanks again) - winch, lights, ECM/eng/trans/Mini Gun, all require better 'lectricity.

You're welcome!

Small Updates

A few here know the "sh-t storm" I have been going through at work, but it is enough to say my attention has been elsewhere. In late October a fellow ONSC member @Phares and I went in on some MetalTech Outpost Off Road sliders - he bought a set for his 80 and I bought a set for the 73. We pooled freight to save a few bucks. In January, they arrived. With the storm brewing at work, i had difficulty getting up with him to get the sliders from him and he ended up painting them for me - thanks Chris, I owe ya man.

I will add some text later, bu here are a few pics for your enjoyment.

A "Before" shot ... note the wimpy sliders attached to the body

The forward mounting point requires the transfer case skid plate to be trimmed a bit so the sliders were installed at @Phares house withe the skid removed.
Installed no Skid 1.webp

Here is a shot later of the modified skid plate.

Here are a few "after" shots :bounce::bounce2:

The only "issue" I have is that the clearance under the exhaust flange is tight and the flange will rattle (loudly) on the slider mount.
EX Clearance.webp

Yes!, it is that tight!. I am noodling over a way to pad things so the noise isn't too obnoxious. It mostly happens at start-up and shutdown, but I am guessing under certain loading off road, it will be obnoxious as well.

Finally, something to add to help with the "Kewl Jeep Man!" comments.

The rattle will diminish with age and hearing loss.

Thanks!

Those look nice!

Better, yet.

They're tough, very tough.

I've had the DS on the LX "supported" on the slider, so much so both DS wheels lost traction, and didn't even gouge the slider body.

Played around with a polyurethane bushing, cutting off just enough to pitch the bracket the exhaust hanger was bolted to, on the LX, and it lessened the vibration.

The issue I have is that the factory exhaust mount is not bolted to the frame, it is a part of the frame. Sometime in the past, it was torched off. I have a booty fab bracket in place now. Will probably need to go to a good exhaust shop to get something better dabbed ...

Minor fix.

Since i have owned the truck, three of the 4 fan speeds have worked. With the nice weather this past weekend, I figured I would finally get around to fixing this issue. It took all of 10 minutes with more than half of that time taken getting the part out of hiding and a screwdriver

Poor quality iPhone pics follow ...

The HVAC blower needed a new resistor. Thanks to @Akella , I was able to source one a couple months ago.

The new, Mr. T resistor ...

Now, I have 4 distinct blower speeds with the top three no longer versions of "tornado speed" :hillbilly:

Hopefully yours wasn't covered with leaves and pine straw like mine was. :)

Just dust ... Probably of Spanish origin .,,, ;)

It's nice to have a speed somewhere between "off" and "wind tunnel". I can actually hear my massive 4" speakers now.

Yes, it is nice to have an intermediate speed. The three I had left were essentially slight variations of the same thing - wind tunnel;)

By the end of May in South Georgia the thermostat will be set on full cold and the fan will remain on high until early September. All of those low speeds will be unused.
