Well technically it won't be a mall queen but an airport queen. When I feel rough and tuff I drive my HJ75 but I have no desire to have it set outside at the local airport for days at a time. The 4Runner is a great vehicle for the occasional hunting trip and playing in the woods but it is a little tight for longer trips especially considering it only has two doors. ( a role the 80 Series should be suitable for ) :)

ah, an airport mall queen ... okay, bad fuel mileage, nice ride, lots of electronics, nice ride, ugly as hell, nice ride ...
as long as you know what you are doing ... of course a Yaris will do the same job with 4-5X the fuel mileage.

I get all of my ducks in a row and then you come along and squish the lead duck. :D
At least I would have a NICE RIDE!
See what happens to people when they don't have access to 70 Series?

oh but you do ...
all it takes is money AND you end up with a vehicle that gets half the milage of a Yaris.

I am starting to think Toyota is giving you a commission for every Yaris sold. :D
Yaris ..... Beer can with airbags.

Hello,

That title now belongs to the Prius C.

Why not a 60 Series?

Why not a 60 Series?

It boils down to availability and condition. I would be very happy with a diesel 60 Series however they are few and far between in good condition. The 80 Series is the next best option. They are available, many in good condition, and are fairly "upscale" at a reasonable price. Both the 60 and 80 Series ( gas model ) suck when it comes to fuel economy. :)

Hello,

Mall Queen and fuel sucking pig come to mind when discussing gasoline 80 Series.

You could have Wayne or someone else up North to help you finding a decent diesel 60/80 Series. Just saying...

I see I was too subtle. I was agreeing with you HJ45, my 74 leaves kill me every time I hit corrugations.

BTW if you're still in the market for a gin-yoo-wine Kangaroo sign I'm heading for a 2000km road trip this Christmas and I'd say I'll be passing a few, spanner in hand.

Installed this in my other Toyota ( '87 4Play ) and now I regret living in an area that is only a 100' above sea level and flat as a pancake. I guess I will never know if it works. :D

Why u paint ur interior red? :crybaby:

Toyota actually thought that color was COOL back in the 80's.....:D
If you wear dark sunglasses it is not to bad. :)
