firstly, sorry Woody, for posting in the 'wrong' forums....

right,

so i need to sell my 45 troopie [don't even try and get me into the tirade of 'why'...its a sore subject] - and i would really like 'her' to go to someone who would appreciate the ridiculous amount of time/money i have put into her. thing is tho - is that i am in the middle east [oman]. however, i will pay for and take care of [and have experience doing so] the exportation and shipping of it to you, at your nearest sea port....pretty much anywhere in the world...for a total price of $15k...which is a STEAL...parts alone are over 20k.

if interested check out the site i made to reduce the number of questions you might have:

that's right friends...

but before you get too excited - let me clarify that point...

I will cover the costs of shipping/exporting - UP TO $3,500 US.

which means that if you live in say...New York, i will be able to have a 20' container containing said Cruiser waiting for you in around 30 days for $15,000 smackeroos.

Try finding a candier deal than that. seriously, try.

however, if you live underground in the middle of Siberia, costs might slightly increase, but i will still cover up to $3,500 to be documented with receipts...

Wow. If only....

Good luck with it.

I'm always in the market for yet another connex!

And if there's a sweet looking Troopie inside...wow.

I wonder how much it costs to ship to Anchorage?????????????????????

Hell of a deal Ian- if it weren't for the wife's concerns with LHD here in Japan........ Best of luck with the sale!

Pete

That rig is unbelievably cool! Now I just have to sell my 40....

I wonder what it would involve to get the vehicle registered in California? It doesn't appear to have all of the smog equipment that my '82 FJ40 has.

This is a great rig and appears to be very well though out.

Wow is all I can say. Not many trucks would make me think to sell the hundy, but that one does.

GLWS!

hey team,

so i've been getting a lot of curious inquiries, but generally all are related to me explaining how to go about registering this rig in your town...however, seeing as how i have probably never been to your town, nor do i know the ins and outs of your local DMV, i, sadly, can be of little help here...

thus, if interested, i would encourage you to first check with your local DMV....tell them about the situation and ask them what kind of documentation you will have to provide - each one is different - and i am not even american - so i am the wrong person to ask unfortunately...on my side [here in oman] i will endeavor to to supply whatever is needed on your end, and will take care of getting it to you - but everything on your side [customs clearance, landing fees, transport fees, taxes, etc] is your baby...

payment would be through wire transfer. if uncomfortable with simply sending me the cash, and worrying whether or not i'll actually send the truck - we could complete the transaction through ebay...giving the buyer their protection...or whatever - im open to suggestions...

first thing tho - if interested - is to find out at your local dmv what their policies are, then let me know, then you get the truck.

thanks for all the interest

ian

ps.if curious about the trip that we made with 'her', check out:

Your local DMV website should also have information on registering imported vehicles. Getting it into the states and through customs is no problem at all since it is over 25 years. IIRC, here in NM the import rules do say something about requiring translations for non-english documentation. That's something I've never dealt with, but is the only challenge I could imagine encountering in bringing this rig into probably 49 states.

Beautiful rig, great price, good luck Ian.

the whole turn signal assembly was replaced with a new one when i was in south africa - however, seeing as how they are a right hand drive country - i got the right hnd drive assemebly...so its on the right of the steering wheel instead of the left...a little odd to get used to - but not a biggie...

as far as emissions go, it has a muffler.....and some exhaust piping.....thats about it....but as its 29 years old - some states won't require it to, some might....best you check...
