White. Got a Les Schwab tire center close by? Thats who does all my wheels.

Nope. No local Les Schwab. So, when you say white do you mean cygnus white? Or something else?

If I have to $$$ I would have bought new. New ones are the color of the top and not a bright white, some may notice and others wont. Me it bothers the crap out of me.

The reason for Les Schwab is that they are a HUGE tire center and do a lot of ag and commercial trucks so getting wheels done is only $18 each. To have them blasted costs me $30 each some place else.

Thanks for the confirmation on the color. We both share a similar sickness.

Nope... I think I recall an auto dealer of some sort, but don't remember which one. :hhmm:

On Charles,s 1982 fj-40 we found a new amp gauge to put on 2 years ago.I see very little deflection compared to our 60 ,62 ,80, Mike

So my test with every light on and hit the turn signal I can barely see any deflection. But it does work.

Soooooo

This past week I had a tiny squeek I "Thought" was clutch dis engagement was in fact the inner hub seal from lack of grease. Tore the hub off and lubed her up.

Then I had a small leak from the PS seal that the steering shaft goes through. I was hoping that it would go away (knowing it would not) as tearing it out is a bear!

But all in all it was not that bad until I made a simple mistake.

So distracted by by phone calls, dog, kids and general life issues I for got to remove the vice grips that I had on the low pressure line. With the bear box still laying on the left hug I fired her off to verify that the seal replacement was viable...........then SNAP! I immediately turned her off and looker around the door looking for where an electrical arc could have come from and to my surprise Dextron was every place.

So I was a little furious and walked over to the hot hater heater where I have a quick disconnect and plugged in a hose and started running 120 degree water over her.

Replaced the line, bolted up the box and then bolted up a wheel. pulled it out side and got a smoking hot bucket of water with a half cup of dawn and started in......with a air wand in one hand and hot water out of the hose in another. 30 minutes later, sparkling!

You are welcome, thank you.

Great meeting you.

Guys, I went and took a look at this rig and all of the pictures do it no justice. HOLY MOLY!

IT HAS NEW CAR SMELL GOD DAMN IT!

I have never seen a nicer example anywhere. Shane is a profesional, pure and simple, and does not accept less than high quality.

I have been an FJ40 fan for 25+ years, and when you see a rig like this, it makes you realize there are many others that love them even more...

Thanks again Shane.

Heres a cheesy camera phone pic while I was there with my POS 78 in the backdrop.

Thanks! I encourage a few and dream just like I did, and if you live in your garage and do a little research for years this is what will drive out.

There will be a thread soon on painting the garage floor and installing cabinets as these were both I have been wanting to do for years and finally can do it now.

Color Code

Was your truck 464 Beige or 416 dune Beige?

(I guess it was not your truck, but you know what I mean)
