Should a 1983 speedo look the same as an 1982?

Here's a pic of the speedo a seller posted from an '83. They also claim that the mileage is 86,778. Is the white dail one tenth of a mile or 1 mile?

O the mat pieces.....Have not dug those out yet......to much to do!

On the speedo, I will but not for months. I want to have my 79 restored with the 6 dig odo from the 82. I will be sending it to redlide guage works in van nuys.

They will rebuild and restore to as NEW for you.

Shane, will the '82 speedo work in an 8/78 instrument panel? If so, do you know of any for sale? I would like to upgrade my panel to a newer speedo with the 6 digit odometer.

Shannon did all of TLC's Speedos and I am sending him my 79 with 57k and a late model 6 dig odo and then swap them so I have the later model with 57k on it, also I want the arrow blinkers and highlighted 55.

He also does something with the amp guage??? Hes the best I am told, he also restores the face and this is something I can't do.

I have no extras, it took me along time to get one. www.cruiserparts.net has them.
