Finally got around to installing a 2.5” Dobinsons kit. Rides really nice and smooth now compared to before - I’d recommend. Went ahead with the disc conversion as well while I was at it. No more drums!! We’re riding pretty now boys. Saludes from Honduras!

Hey love what you've done so far! You've just done everything I'm about to do to mine. Looks like a great base to start with.

Hi,

but, i have one question
why the snorkel is this side ( the air filter box is on the other side)

At the time, I was having a tough time finding a RH snorkel. Reached out to Safari and couldn’t find one, also wasn’t going to make a custom one. but researched a bit and installing on the left worked for others. Just need to be a little careful how to run the hose across to the other side- no kinks or sharp bends. Works great for me.

Would like some opinions on the LEDs mounted to my roof rack. I’m not sure I’m not the biggest fan of them, but they have been very useful for me driving in the mountains here at night. They’re just the cheap Amazon lights and are now starting to slowly die. Should I mount some nice Hella lights up there as replacements or ditch them altogether? I won’t be up in the mountains as much so not sure how much I’ll use them but they should look pretty good either way.

Lights up high do seem to work better as they reduce the shadows caused by the lights in comparison to putting them on the bumper.
Here in OZ i find lights in the roof in the form of HID spotties to be great for night driving. Where i live long distance light is required to help see kangaroos and the odd black cattle before they turn into hood ornaments.

Looking really good! I’m also in Honduras, I live in La Esperanza Intibucá, bought a really clean 80 series last year and have loved going through it to restore it to its former glory. My 80 is my mud monster for going up in the mountains, but since it’s the 1fz fe motor I don’t want to use it as a DD with Honduran gas prices. I have a Hyundai Galloper (diésel Montero copy) as my daily driver, but I just blew the head. Now I’m looking at some other diesels to replace it. Good problem here is there’s tons of choices, Land Cruiser 40, 60,70, Patrols, Samurai. How does she ride with the Dobinson suspension?
