I got the fluids in the engine about the time the Wizard pulled up then I went into apprentice bitch mode for him.

First we mocked some things up then he made me pull the headers and we trimmed them up shorter. Added the front part of the SOR y pipe and shot the gap perfectly

Now we are mocking up the cat

I live on a gravel driveway and the owner lives on a muddy/gravel road.

Slicing up beautiful transmission hump is always hard. Cowboy does not approve

I prefer these large early FJ60 boots. Not available new but they hold up good to time

Tried something new this time. My Can Am has this stuff under the bed and it gets hammered with mud and water. I found out what it was and decided to try it on this hump. I usually use Lizard Skin but I did not want to goof the paint somehow. This stuff is THICK and sticky. It should really block the heat

Done and installed and shifting with all pretty new powdercoated shifters and knobs

Having the transmission hump installed allows a lot of different avenues to go down. I added the fuel tank first.

Then the Wizard finished up the first piece of exhaust. I asked him to fully finish this setup so I could go ahead and install the Remflex and torque the intake and exhaust down. That way I can start in on the Sniper

And as always, it fits like a glove in here.

I gained a spot in the shop tonight. My red 80 series is on a truck westbound to Texas. You know @wngrog is cranking this thing soon.

Spent most of the day today farming and burning s***. I finally rolled up on the FST around 3.

Installed the 2GC Sniper using the Mosley adapters and Mosley hard lines

Worked on brake lines and clutch lines.

Today I undid the FJCo rear brake setup. I could not get it to work correctly. Whenever i tightened the lug nuts down it would bind up the axle and the inner workings of the 60 brakes.

I went back with tried and true TSM rear discs. Apparently they don’t sell direct anymore but the vendor list had Redline on it and a quick text to Justin had a kit headed my way.

More on that setup later….Wizard and I are doing exhaust things

Got one driveshaft

@orangefj45 sent me some hard line eliminator hoses for the front. TSM kit comes with stainless lines so the brakes are all run now. Diff and transmission have 90 wt and I ran out.

Wizard has been rolling on this exhaust.

Yes. The eBrake was the reason. Now I’m going to try something else. Stand by. Work in progress

Wizard is finishing up on the exhaust. He’s building hangers next then it all comes out to be buffed matte

I added the front shaft, 90wt and a black steering stabilizer between handing him stuff and holding stuff and getting yelled at

I’m off for a few days to the mountains. I’ve got to tackle a lot of wires when I get back.

Kentucky was a blast and a needed break but now I’m back at it.

The Wizard got the exhaust finished up and mounted while I was gone. This is another masterpiece.

He’s working on the heat shield for the cat now

This little weirdo fitting on the side of the fuel tank has to be blocked off if you use an in tank pump.

I happened to have the correct nut in my stash and the Wizard modified a hex nut to fit inside with the proper taper then he welded it up.
