Over the tranny, under the tranny, through the tranny? Nobody knows!?

Over would be cool for clearance.

Bonus pic of a snow angel I made today.

It hit 90 freaking degrees here today….(Tucson Arizona). Unbelievable how the weather has changed. Anyways…. Keep up the good work!

It got up to +2 here lol.

Got the over the trans segment fit up and welded, everything else is still loose and adjustable. Plan for tomorrow is to make some strategic cuts in some strategic places and install some V band clamps strategically.

That was a pita... lol

Exhaust from the headers to the muffler is welded, v banded and reinstalled. Just have to figure out where its gonna dump, I'm thinking in front of the ps rear tire somewhere..

Also, don't look at the welds too close lol.

A little piece of advice, don’t install the muffler under the cab. The cab will act as a reverb chamber.

Way too late. Muffler was in the same spot with the old engine and it wasn't bad at all but I'm not expecting it to be better lol.

Nobody's gonna hire me as a welder but the exhaust is glued and v banded together and the muffolator is hung.

Working on the exit strategy now. It's either gonna be out and down under the bed or out and over to the passenger side in front of the rear tire. Its a complex situation that requires complex solutions..

Nothing hangs lower than the frame which is cool.

Whirlwinds of activity took place today.

Got the rad/hoses, power steering lines, exhaust, trans xmember and trans removed/unhooked in preparation for the shallow oil pan install. Just have to yoink the engine up a foot or two (hopefully) to get that done.

Touched up the paint on a few things then went into #PaintyMcHufferton mode and sprayed the exhaust lol. Lets see if that lasts.. I know exhausts are supposed to be white but this is the only high heat paint I had in stock.

The whirlwinds continued till 3 in the am..

Got the pans swapped and the engine back in, filled the torque converter and ramrodded it into the trans, the trans went back in and the converter got bolted to the flex plate.

Big thanks to my buddy Dan for the help.

Also, the new pan has all the clearance.
