Hi there im Darren new on here this is my first post. I have a FJ55 the rego papers state 1966. Frame number is FJ55-10031. It was sold at Macquarie Motors in Bathurst 26-11-67. Im trying to find out some more history on it and establish if its rare and if so how rare. Thanks if you can help. I haven't worked out how to attach a pic yet thanks Darren

According to SOR's chart, it'd be the first production month for US bound, but thinking it'd be a '68 model year.
Not sure about Australian VIN sequence, but, according to SOR, 11/67 ended with 10186, 12/67 with 10225, so a monthly production assumption of 39, I'd say that yours is one of the earliest produced.

I remember there only being 39 made in '67.
SORs chart states domestic and OPs was sold in Oz, so not sure what can be formulated from...
Post ten more times and you can upload pics. I'd like to see.
Would this have the signals mounted on the side of the upper fender?
There were no '67 model year FJ55s, Toyota typically starts the next year model production in September so it would be a '68. It's very early regardless, please post up some pictures ... Color? Apron turn signals? Shield steering wheel?

I could be wrong but I was under the asumption 55's started with VIN# 10000. Either way 10031 is the earliest I've heard of to date. Please post pic's!

I believe that number is 275 for 1967 ... 10 sold domestic Japan and 265 sold worldwide
