Nothing done on the lv tonight, but figured I better post a couple pics.

First pic is of the wife and Kurt Williams from www.cruiseroutfitters.com in Utah. I believe Kurt was there on behalf of Utah/SLC for the SAE/mini baja competition this last weekend. Wife was pretty stoked to meet Kurt since we've spent a few bucks with him ;)

2nd pic is of her trying her hand at a little rock crawling with a Polaris ranger.....she's got more rock crawling experience than me now :frown:

Nothing major today, got home a little late so couldn't get much done.

Pretty much just got the lv back on the hoist, and started making up a to do list. My mechanic buddy is going to fab up a custom brake line tomorrow from the front to the rear. Also have a lot of little things to do, bolts, brackets, wiring, etc....Just a bunch of little stuff. Hoping that it can drive out in a couple days :)

Got some 1 1/4" single fold vinyl in off-white and beige ordered on Monday for the headliner and carpet. I will have to sew up the welting for the headliner with that stuff and use beige for the carpet edging when I start to make that.

Parts request for any and all who may have some lv parts they want part with.

Rear lower tailgate supports, both left and right. I have some, but bent up bad, hoping to find a better set?

3 interior door handles. Semlin sent me 1 off the woods lv and may be sending me the other 3 if he can get them off.....just trying to cover my bases here.

Sway bar bushings, can these still be bought or a source for them? I thought somewhere I saw the entire kit??

FJ60 parking brake cable

1 - lv wiper arm, the whole thing.

It's crunch time for me, so looking for as much of this as possible...

I have some lv parts left over willing to trade or cash or gratitude, anyone or all of these......

Thanks, Matt

Sway bar bushings.....if it uses the u bracket and biskets they are easy to source.......
If ya don't locate them, send me the specs I can get 'em
Does the wood stay in around the headliner?

Not sure on the U bracket and biskets.....maybe just me not understanding what that means?

Wood stays around the headliner, but there is a welting piece I have to make that goes on the bottom of the piece of wood. Then there is another vinyl piece that goes over the top of the wood.

I would like to source the bushings.....tell me what to do and I will do it! :)

Thanks, Matt

I have a complete parking brake cable.....

Do you need the whole thing, or just a section of it?

When did you change the rear brakes over? ;)

Looks damn nice Matt man.

Ok...

????? 4 U.

How long is that steering column, is it tilt, or tilt/telli, or what options are on it, and how did you mount it to the bulkhead? I cannot remember...

Hi Steve,

I think I need the whole thing? I thought someone told me that I would probably be able to use a FJ60 parking brake cable.....The 40 cable isn't long enough and I have this idea in my head that the ends on the 60 cable are the same, just longer? Could be wrong on this one.....maybe a bad dream or something like that??

Change the rear brakes over? I know I'm missing something obvious here, but I know you like to pick on the slow kid here ;p

Thanks, Matt

I believe it is the 28", I can check to make sure, but about 99% sure on that.

It is tilt, not teli....teli was an additional $160 for 1.5" of travel, just not worth the money in my opinion.

Options I got was headlight dimmer and cruise control in mine. I ordered mine with the tilt and keyed ignition also, comes standard with turn signals, hazards and other basics.

Mounted to the bulkhead with Ididit's aluminum swivel ball mount. I had to modify the floor to fit the ball mount, basicly weld in some steel and take some out....

I'll try to find the page # of the install and link it.

According to SOR this is what you need......

i'm 100% sure i can get you the arm off the woods lv to match the one i sent you but there is no blade attached. you might be able to source a similar blade from a boating store. i thought that's what they were first time i saw them. i'm officially not going up there this weekend so it won't be until the beginning of July now...

Just ordered this, hopefully have by Saturday

thanks, Matt

Go back and look at my post, I noticed hyper linking did not work so I posted the pix you caught me editing.....

Didn't get 104-01, but mine were good and used the orginals......the other ones were toast.

Thanks, Matt

I have an Fj60 parking brake cable as long as Poser doesn't need it anymore. He had asked for one awhile back. The wiper I probably need but am willing to send it to you because you will need it long before I will. same for the tailgate supports. Did you still need pics of the seat mounts? Interior handles I have no idea, I'll have to look...you have a 65 so the 67's style handles are different than the ones you have. Are you planning on using the brass spring loaded bases or the 66/67 style rubber bushings?

FJ60 parking brake cable

Do you have a post '79 rear axle with the parking brake on the rear hubs or is the parking brake on the rear of the transfer case like stock? If it's the transfer case brake I'm not sure how an FJ60 cable would work.

I had the E-brake cable made up here locally. I could have another made but I doubt it would be ready before we leave in a week and a half.

Sway bar bushings etc. are the same as the '55.
