A tank from an S-10 pickup will fit in the frame rails of a 45 lwb pu.

Easier to find one to put outside the cab than one to fit in the stock location...and less stinky to put it outside the cab.

you could also get a tank from an early 40 and modify the filler neck.

I have a 40 series tank and modified the neck. I went to numerous auto parts stores for the rubber part of the neck filler and found that a '78 40 series worked perfect. Hope this helps.

I had my 64 tank soldered a few years back. After a couple of years, it started leaking again. Like kellyo, I am currently running an early 40 series tank with part of the filler neck sectioned off. One of these days I'll get my 45 tank soldered again.

I wonder if solder and tank sealer such as Red-Coat would be an effective combo.
